breakup prank › KIM CHAEWON ver.

A/N (PLEASE READ!): Just wanted to make a quick author's note even though it's obvious - when I put IDOL ver., it means that there's going to be more imagines like that, with the same title, with multiple other idols.

Chaewon sighed tiredly as she walked through the doorway. She slowly kicked off her shoes before setting down her bag and reaching up to loosen her tie, letting out a breath of relief. Her day felt so long, and she was just happy that she could come home to you and your kisses.

She smiled at the thought.

That smile fell, however, when she saw you sitting on the couch, your elbows propped up on your thighs and your head in your hands. Soft sniffles escaped your lips, reaching her ears and making her frown.

She quickly ran to you and kneeled in front of you, taking your hands away from your face and holding them tightly, squeezing them softly. Her heart broke at the sight of your tear-stained cheeks.

"Y/N, baby, what's wrong? Can you tell me?" Chaewon asked softly.

You felt a pain in your heart as you started to feel bad for what you're about to do. But your friends dared you to do it and they said that if you didn't, they'd show Chaewon a video of you drunkenly eating like a pig while crying loudly. You definitely didn't want them to do that.

"Chaewon..." You called out.

She hummed, looking uneasy. You usually addressed her as babe or my love, so she was taken aback, but she didn't want to show it.

"I think..." You trailed off, biting your lip nervously. You avoided her eyes as best as you could, only serving to heighten her worry and anxiety. "I think that we should break up.

A tense silence fell over the two of you. You hung your head and gently shook your hands out of her grasp, while she simply gaped at you, her lips parted in shock and her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. You could see it in her eyes that she was upset by your sudden statement.

If you felt bad before, you most definitely felt even worse. Especially when you saw the first tear roll down her cheek. Then another one.

Her next words shocked you.

"Okay. O-Okay. If that's what you want, and you're sure, I- I won't stop y-you. But," She paused and squeezed her eyes shut, and you watched sadly as more tears streamed down her face. "Before you go, please tell me, was it something I did?" She asked quietly.

Your eyes widened. You couldn't take it anymore.

"Oh, baby." You cooed. Her eyebrows knitted together, once again, in confusion. She looked up at you. You slid off of the couch and sat down beside her, pulling her into a bone-crushing hug, thoroughly shocking her.

"Y-Y/N?" She questioned hesitantly.

You hummed.

"What are you doing?"

"Hugging you. Duh."

"Yeah, but- but why?" She sounded so confused that you couldn't help but giggle as you pulled away from her to wipe her tears.

"Because, dummy," You laughed. "It was all a prank!" You stated. As soon as you saw her eyes fill with halfhearted anger, you quickly went straight into giving her an explanation. "Before you kill me, it wasn't my idea!" You claimed. "It was Zuha's! She said that if I don't do it, she'd send you a really embarrassing video of me." You explained.

Chaewon shook her head and smiled softly.

"Baby, I think you were scammed."

"What? How?"

"Because, if the embarrassing video in question is the one of you drunk and eating while crying, she already sent it to me a long time ago. Also, never pull a stunt like this again."

"She what?!"
