lily › kiss me in the rain (requested)

The weather was dismal outside of the window. Rain was pouring down from the ashen clouds. Unfortunately, this meant that you and Lily couldn't go on the date you had planned, due to this unexpected change in weather.

Lily was curled up against you on the couch. You were watching some movie that you forgot the name of; you spent most of your time simply staring at Lily and admiring her and all that she is. You're really bummed that the date got ruined.

Until you had an idea.

"Lily, Lily, Lily, get up, I have an idea!" You exclaimed, patting her shoulder in order to encourage her to lift herself off of you.

She sat up, confused, and even more so when she saw you jump off of the couch and run to your shared bedroom. When you came back to her, you were holding a jacket in your hand, having already put yours on.

Lily chuckled when you handed her the jacket. She gently put it down and pulled you closer. "What's got you so excited, cutie?" She inquired.

You grinned. "I wanna do something with you, but first, you have to put a jacket on! Or do you wanna kiss in the rain in just our t-shirts and shorts like in the movies?"

Lily's smile grew as you told her this. She giggled and kissed your forehead. "Just clothes. It makes it more fun!" She said enthusiastically.

You nodded and shrugged off your jacket. The two of you laced your fingers together as you headed to the front door and slipped into your shoes. With excitement in every step, you headed out of the door, both of you clad in nothing but simple white t-shirts and shorts.

You came to a stop in the middle of the yard and pulled Lily in front of you. The smile on her face was beautiful under the moonlight. Rain drops fell onto her and cascaded down her smooth skin to fall to the ground beneath you. She looked gorgeous, even with wet strands of hair falling in her face.

You stepped closer to her so that you were nearly chest to chest, and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, flattening your hand against her cheek afterwards. She grinned and wrapped one arm around your waist, while her other came up to rest atop your hand on her cheek.

"Hey, beautiful," she murmured.

You giggled and kissed her cheek. "Hi, lovely," you replied.

She smiled at your response.

Slowly, she leaned in towards you, as if there was some sort of magnetic attraction pulling her in. And in a way, there was; there was an alluring attraction causing her to fall deeper and deeper into the need to kiss you.

Your lips brushed against each other for a brief moment, her breath fanning your lips, before the two of you met in a soft collision. It was perfect. The rain was pouring down, the raindrops hitting your skin like bullets and then beautifully cascading down your skin to disappear while Lily held you like a fragile relic. She kissed you passionately, yet delicately, and it'd be a lie to say that you're not hooked on the feeling.

The corners of your lips tugged upwards into a smile when the two of you parted ways, breathing deeply. You, again, reached out to tuck behind her ear the wet strands of hair that fell into her face, giggling with her afterwards.

She rested her forehead against yours, simply holding you tight and cradling your head against her chest.

"I love you. So, so much, love. And I can't imagine myself with anybody other than you. I hope to stay with you for as long as I possibly can," Lily whispered. Her voice was quiet, but still audible even with the rain.

You grinned and kissed her cheek. "And I, you," you whispered back.

She smiled softly and pecked your lips one last time, before letting go of you and moving her hand down to the small of your back to lead you back into your home.
