You've known Jiheon for several years. The two of you met back in your freshman years of high school. She had been running to her class because she was running behind, and you were walking ahead of her, unaware of her presence until you picked up on the incoming footsteps. She tripped somewhere behind you, and you turned around. You ran to her and helped her stand up, and from that day forward, the two of you stuck together.

It became a routine habit for the both of you to hang out at her house everyday after school to do your homework, have sleepovers on Friday, and go out to get ice cream after big tests. This carried on throughout your entire high school years—this shocked a lot of people, including your parents, who were amazed by the strong dedication to the friendship.

Not much changed between you and Jiheon as you transitioned into college—not even when the two of you became K-pop idols. She became one years before you, but even with her schedules on top of classes, you still managed to see each other often. And you were a trainee, so you were also busy. But the two of you loved each other, so you always made time, no matter what.

"Congrats on LE SSERAFIM's win, Y/nnie~" Jiheon cheered quietly as she took a seat next to you on the couch. She instantly relaxed and leaned onto you dramatically, a tired sigh escaping her.

You were at her dorm, planning on watching a movie together and ordering takeout. You had already celebrated the music show win with your bandmates, so now you were doing the same with Jiheon—except, you know, there's no cake or Vlive. Just the two of you (and her members, but they're in their rooms).

"Thanks, Heonnie," you murmured back, smiling softly.

She looks good right now. I mean, she always looks good, but you really enjoy being able to see her. Just her. Her when she's doing the bare minimum, simply sitting on the couch, eating pizza with her hair tied back and her eyes now focused solely on the movie playing across from the two of you. She looks cute. Her idol side is charming, yeah, but you prefer her when she's off-camera. You like it when it's just you and Jiheon, not Y/N of LE SSERAFIM and Jiheon of fromis_9. Like how it used to be back in high school.

"Yah, why are you staring at me?" Jiheon suddenly questioned. She threw a pepperoni at you, only for you to maneuver your head and catch it in your mouth. Her jaw dropped, before she burst out into a fit of contagious giggles. The sound only served to make you smile brightly at her, her doing the same.

You both simply stared at each other for a few moments after that. She was no longer giggling. It was just silent, just the two of you looking into each other's eyes with soft smiles on your faces and heart beating wildly in your chests. But neither of you knew that about the other.

KCON quickly approached. You and Jiheon were mostly excited to see each other's performances. You and your members worked hard, and so did Jiheon and hers. You knew that both groups would do well on stage.

Tonight, you and your members will be covering Love Shot by EXO. You all love this song, so you had a lot of fun learning it. You all were very proud of yourselves during practice, so you're confident you'll put on a great show for the audience and your fans.

You weren't expecting what would happen later on.

You hugged Jiheon tightly, seeing as you were being called onto stage again for your Love Shot performance (you had already performed FEARLESS and ANTIFRAGILE). She held you just a firmly, her arms wrapped around your neck. When she pulled away, she kissed your cheek before flashing you an adorable shy smile and pushing you towards the stage.
