A/n: this is a little bit before volume 3.

Y/n was sitting in the Beacon Library reading a book. While reading he saw a red figure walk in front of him.

Y/n: hi Ruby!

Ruby: hey, how are you feeling?

Y/n: thanks to Miss Iosefka, I don't have a concussion anymore.

Y/n heard jigging behind Ruby and looked to see the rest of Rwby jigging which confused Y/n.

Y/n: need something?

Ruby then began to blush and press her fingers together.

Ruby: w-well, me and Yang are going back home to Patch, so maybe we could go on a date?

Y/n: a date? What's that?

Ruby's face then went blank and so did the rest of rwby.

Ruby: you don't know what a date is?

Y/n: other than the really sweet fruit...no.

Ruby: well it's when a couple...like you and me, go out and do things alone together.

Y/n: oh...that sounds dumb.

Ruby's eyes widened at Y/n's response.

Ruby: how is that dumb!?

Y/n: well why do all that when we can just do the here?

Ruby sighed realizing isn't really good with these types of things.

Ruby: it's not, will you just let me show you?

Y/n: okay! I'm willing to do anything if you ask me.

Ruby had a face of relief, then leaned down to kiss his cheek.

Ruby: it's a date, meet me at the train station at noon.

Y/n: we're not going now?

Ruby: no! * blushing * I have to get myself ready for it, bye!

Ruby Ran off to her team smiles was all around. Congratulating her. Y/n just sat there resting his chin between his thumb and index finger.

Y/n: maybe I should research this date thing, for preparations.

Y/n Closed the book he was reading and disappeared. After a few seconds, he appeared back where he was sitting with a new book.

Y/n: from the writers of Ninja of love. "kunoichi seduction tactics" Hm, seems promising.

Y/n began reading the book the redder he got, it was now night time and Y/n had read the entire book. He closed it and slowly pushed it away.

Y/n: th-that's what she wants to do tomorrow!?

Y/n calmed his nerves and got up contemplating if he was ready to do all of that. But as he walked to his door he was pulled into another dorm.

Y/n: Coco?

Coco and Velvet were in their pajamas holding Y/n against the door.

Coco: it's finally happening!

Y/n: what is?

Velvet: you going on a date silly?

Coco: and we are going to stay all night getting you ready for it.
