Early in the morning I was woken up by Sebastian.

We had made it our goal to give Garreth a wonderful birthday, so we sneaked into the kitchen together.

In the last few days we have prepared everything so secretly and quietly that Garreth could not suspect anything.

Sebastian started baking a cake base straight away. We both knew that he wasn't the most experienced baker, of course. Strictly speaking, it was his first cake without Garreths help, but in typical Sebastian manner, he had read extensively and knew the entire recipe by heart.

He cast a spell on the bedroom door to let Garreth sleep in peace.I hung up our homemade garlands and let balloons of all shapes and colors float through our living room.

I helped Sebastian mix the creams. He was a little less demanding than Garreth and didn't worry if it wasn't perfect, as willpower counts.

"Have you already wrapped the presents? And when will the others come?" I asked Sebastian quietly. "No, I haven't yet. And at 3 p.m. We'll drink tea and eat together later. I'll grab a deer or something, we can grill it. Then everyone'll be full. Do you want to cut the salad yet? ' he asked me just as softly. "I'll just wrap the presents and then I'll cut the salad," I said, and crept down to the basement.

Behind a bookshelf, Sebastian built a secret compartment where we stored our gifts for Garreth.

We had bought him a magic quill to write for Garreth as he brewed and experimented. So all he had to do was say what the quill was supposed to write down and he no longer had to stand at the table to write. And best of all, the quill could write in his handwriting. We loved the idea and were excited to see how Garreth would react.

We continued to work on the cake when we suddenly heard that Garreth was awake.

He opened the door sleepily and immediately beamedtas he looked around.

"Happy Birthday!" Sebastian and I called in unison. "By Godric's sword, you're cute," he said, totally amazed when he saw that we were about to bake a cake.

"Well, only the best for our almost-husband.", Sebastian said and gave him a kiss. Garreth joined us in the kitchen and started making breakfast. In doing so, he and Sebastian almost got into an argument because Sebastian didn't want Garreth to cook today, but he really wanted it.

Garreth then relented with an eye roll and sat down on the sofa and played a little on his lute. Now we had wonderful musical accompaniment while baking.

We ate together and afterwards Sebastian went outside to hunt a deer. Garreth didn't want to leave me alone. I think after Philippe kidnapped me, he was a bit too skeptical.

"What are we actually doing today?" Garreth asked while Sebastian gutted the deer. "You'll see that then.", Sebastian said and grinned at him.

The Weasley family arrived just before 3 p.m. His parents, siblings, aunts and uncles. Adaliz and Gawain had even brought Louis and Viviane with them. Sebastian rushed down into the basement and pulled out Garreth's tried and true language potion.

"Oh, did you guys come all the way from France for me? You're real sweethearts. Thank you!" said Garreth, beaming with delight as everyone dismounted from their brooms.

"Come on, introduce yourself to Seb. Just be completely open and honest. They're all nice.", Garreth said and put his arm around Sebastian's waist.

Sebastian's head was bright red, "But I can't say that we...?" he asked unsure. "Yes, of course you can. And you will." He whispered in his ear.
