Unfortunatly Maya beiing in Quarantine again ment noone, not even Carina, could go in her room. The tripplets were happy that Carina was home, but also sad, because Maya wasn't yet.
They tryed to keep up the scedule. Andy and Kathrine helped Carina immensly. Nina had talked to her student councelor and agreed to do the 2 online courses this semester. As she hadn't applied for any exams yet, she was still good to go with her scolarship. She just needed to pass one of the two exams and she was quite sure, she'd atleast pass italian. She also got a job to at least do something. She was going stir crazy at home. She was waiting tables and she did actually like it a lot. The owner was very nice and they helped her. Working took her mind off of her moms situation.

One evening the girls were already asleep, Nina shuffled into Carinas room and cuddled into the parents bed. "Hey, bellina. Whats wrong?" Nina had come into Carinas bed, when she had had nightmares, but now it seemed different to Carina. "I don't want you to be offended." "By what? Why?" "I want to do something, but i want you to know, that you and mom are enough and i don't want to actually get to know them, but it would be nice to know about like medical history and just incase, you know, i'm scared, i have noone and like i...." "Bellina, piano piano. What is going on?" "I've been saving up to do genetic testing." "Okay." "But i love you and Mom and you will always be my parents. I'm not looking for a family. Because i have one." "Its okay, bellina." "You aren't mad." "No. Lots of adopted kids want to know at some point." "I am just scared, what if i get sick like mom and noone is compatible to donate?" "I understand. But Bellina, you don't have to pay for it yourself." Nina looked at her mom. "No. Have you done some research?" "Mhm. I found a website i like, but like i am not sure what to do? What if i find a relative? What do i do?" "How about we get you tested first and then worry about possible relatives." "Okay. I love you, Mamma." "I love you, too Nina." "Can i sleep here tonight?" "Sure." Carina wrapped Nina in a hug and switched off the light.

The next day they ordered the test kit and also talked to Maya a little bid about Ninas idea. Maya was very excited. They promised to tell her everything about the testing and the possible outcomes.

Maya was turning in her bed. She was  quite uncomfortable. It was tuesday. A week after she got the news, that her spinal tab wasn't clean. Today she felt extra sore. She was getting at least a little bid better, but they bathed her yesterday and now her body hurt. She also had mouth sores, which hurt terribly and some chest pain. She has had chestpain for a while now, so it didn't worry her, but somehow it bothered her more today, maybe because she was tired. She turned her head as the door opened. "Hello Maya, how are you doing?" "Okay." Maya rasped out. "I have some more cream for your sores and i need some more blood." "Okay." The nurse applied the cream to Mayas mouth, it soothed the burning, which was nice. "Do you want me to switch on another audiobook?" Maya had listend to a lot of italian audiobooks. It made her feel like Carina was there, so she nodded. The nurse opened Mayas phone. "The next book in the series?" Maya nodded. She had been listening to Harry Potter and was now starting the fourth book. The nurse took Mayas hearing aids out of their box and helped put them in. Then she switched the story on and smiled as she saw Maya relax with the sound of the story.

The day Maya was starting her 9th round of chemo, Nina got her test results. Unfortunatly Mayas kidneys didn't recover well enough for her to be sent home, but they did deem her strong enough to try a new round of chemo. Nina sat with Maya while she got her chemo. They held distance and Nina wore a mask, but Maya felt good and her labs were better that day, so the decided to risk it. "So i am 40% British, 20 %German 13% Eastern european 12%south european, 10% South american and 5 %Native american. Fancy." "I think i am like british and German. My moms parents came over after the second world war." "Oh. Yeah you do look stereotipically German. Blonde and blue eyes. Did they flee the war?" "No the fleed after the war. My grandfather faced trial. He was some big soldier guy in the NS-army and my grandmother and my mother and aunt moved to the US, when my mom was just a little over a year old." "Wow. You have some interesting family." "Not some you can brag about." "True. I barely have any predesposition. No colon, stomach, breast or cervical cancer no lung or liver diseases. No alzheimers. I have a predesposition for osteporosis. That is when the bones get softer and break easier?" "Yes. But ususally people don't get that until like 50 or something. Now you know and you can watch it and maybe get regular bone densitiy checks." "Okay. Other than that i only have bad eyesight, well that was something i already knew. Funny that its genetic." "Anything else?" "No. I won the genetic lottary." "Thats good. A good basis." Maya smiled. Nina swiped on her tablet. Then she frowned. "It says i have 3 relatives." "Do you want to know?" "Hm. I don't know. You wouldn't be offended?" "No. Its normal to be curious." "It says i have a cousin." "How far?" "No. its one of my parents, siblings kid." "Wow. And the other two." "One just says far related and one...." "What is it?" "One is a brother." "Like really?" "Mhm. Half brother, but still. I... I... I have a brother." "You do, bellina." "What do i do? What does this mean?" "It can mean everything and nothing. Just sleep over it and maybe you contact him. Maybe you don't. What ever you do its okay." "Okay. Thanks mom."

An: i am struggelling with typing at the moment as I have tendonitis in my hand. So I use the voice control. It is not as fast as typing because it get words wrong regulally. I am also running out of Ideas for the story. I will finish it off so it makes sense. And I might publish some more one shots from the future. Just like the auther from "happily ever after"  does. I have an idea for a new story I already typed two chapters. I don't really know where I wanna go with that story but I might upload one chapter of the story a week. It focuses more on mental health for both Maja in Carina. Would you like that?
