Compared to the type of fighting Team Arrow did on a daily basis, Parker's story came off lame, which is exactly why Cisco and Barry couldn't blame her for exaggerating in few parts of the retelling. According to the interested looks of the listeners, the story was a hit.
"..and then, I was like, 'Indiana Jones, bitch' and I truly think it was a key moment in my character development," Parker finished.
Finally, the approval of the Star City heroes was evident. Thea clapped, Diggle gave the girl a thumbs-up, Felicity hugged her tightly, then Oliver raised his brow. "I'm sure Barry wasn't happy with the ending of that story."
"I wasn't," Barry agreed. He stood and playfully shoved Felicity from his girlfriend. He kissed her cheek. "Now, I'm very proud of her. I realize that now."
"Character development for you, too, aw," whispered Parker. Unable to reach his cheek, she kissed his hand.
"Hey, Thea," Cisco called.
"Yeah?" she asked.
"Are you familiar with my body of work?" Cisco asked, to which Thea tilted her head. "If you are, then you know I can come up with something so much better than Speedy."
Thea smiled and leaned back in her chair, sipping her drink slyly. "Why don't you get a haircut, then we can talk about it?"
"I think you're just mad because my conditioner game is on point," Cisco defended.
"I'm going to talk with Felicity, I'll be back in a second," Barry said.
In the meantime, Parker used her cane to limp to Oliver over at the small bar. She started to make another drink. "Hello, Mr. Queen."
"Park," Oliver greeted. "That was an interesting story."
"You're correct."
"And I guarantee you're not as fine as you say you are," he said quietly. His hand laid on her own. "If you need to talk about anything, Park, you've got me. Felicity. Diggle, even. You have more people surrounding you than just your friends in Star City."
Parker patted Oliver's hand with her other. "I'm all right. I promise you. All I say is that I'm sorry for coming to you with the burden of Kendra."
Oliver nodded. His hand retreated from Parker's when Barry joined them. "I'm sorry that earlier I was a little.."
"Snippy?" Barry suggested.
"I have been called worse," Oliver said, a tiny smile evident on his lips. "But I am glad you're here. It shows a real maturity, and I am glad, because I've never been mature."
"I gotta say.. This isn't the same Arrow Team I'm used to seeing," Barry noticed.
"Or the same Oliver Queen," Parker noted.
"You seem.." Barry tried.
"Happy?" Oliver finished. His eyes didn't leave Felicity as he spoke. "I am happy. I finally have everything I've ever wanted. Being with Felicity has given me a real sense of purpose. I haven't had that in a long time."
Barry slung his arm around Oliver's shoulder. "Didn't you tell me that guys like us don't get the girl?"
Oliver, shrinking into his old ways, shook Barry's arm off. He said a quick, "I was wrong," then was walking to be in Felicity's presence again.
"I'm glad he was," Barry said.
"I'm glad you didn't listen to him," Parker said. "Could you imagine us not together?"
"Couldn't dream of it," Barry said, then he swept down to catch her lips in his own.
"I would like to propose a toast," the kissing couple heard, but they ignored it.
