Cassie watched high above Redstonia, dangling her legs off the edge of Jess' hybrid ur-ghast, Steam, as she and Winslow passively absorbed the nature chaos around. Bored.
She watched as PAMA destroyed Redstonia piece by piece as Jess casually watches on the wall. Cassie wished she could join the fun.
Wouldn't it be fun to let loose her chaos magic? But no, she has to wait until it is at its peak potency. She can't really argue, Jess told her to... and she really did not want to piss her off.
She then saw PAMA created, then condense, a large sphere of unstable energy before unleashing it.
BOOM-!
It is beautiful. A black wave of energy swept across the kingdom, fanning out and away from PAMA and Jess while everything else was destroyed.
It was only long after was then the explosion died down, revealing a scorched crater. No buildings. No people. Nothing except for the part of the wall Jess is sitting on. Cassie continued to wait, still admiring the destruction, and wishing she could see the explosion again.
After a few hours, Cassie felt the hybrid ur-ghast, Steam, descend towards the smoking crater. After a few, long minutes, she saw that some people actually survived... who were either chipped by PAMA or unconscious. All of them on a platform made out of chiseled obsidian, most likely the materials were from the wall.
PAMA, who is damaged from created that explosion from earlier, created a metal cage on it's back. Ellegaard is the only prisoner.
Just like Boom Town, Jess now has a new symbol on her cloak: redstone dust being blown away by an invisible wind. She is still on the wall, neglecting the quest rewards for Redstonia's destruction, looking at the destruction before turning to say something to Ellegaard.
[Ellegaard] Level 400
Class: Vitalizer
Title: Redstone Legend
Species: Human
Elemental Affinities: [Low] Terra (Earth), [Low] Lux (Lightning)
Jess then used [Grim Harvest] to rip out Ellegaard's Mana Core, as the redstone engineer screamed in pain. "Is it over?" asked Cassie as she walked off of Steam to join Jess. Winslow following his master.
Jess didn't bother to look at Cassie as she held Ellegaard's Mana Core. She placed it in her Inventory, then pulled out an all-too-familiar jar containing a very hungry Aura Node.
Cassie's eyes widen. "You actually brought that?" she asked before she got excited. "Are you going to feed Ellegaard to it?!"
"No... she would only give it indigestion," Jess insulted as she placed the jar down, surrounding it with Silverwood logs before smashing it.
The black, gluttonous Aura Node was free... and hungry. Jess then pulled out Ellegaard's Mana Core; her Vitalizer Class. "I'm going to feed this to the Aura Node, Cassie."
"But why?" asked Cassie, looking at the Mana-less Ellegaard, still writhing in pain. "Ellegaard only has two low-level elemental affinities, ones that we already have."
"Do you know what the Vitalizer Class is capable of?" Jess asked the Chaos Sorcerer before tossing Ellegaard's Mana Core into the Aura Node. It was then a green-white aura bloomed around the black sphere, mixing with the other colors representing the other affinities.
"It has the rare Vita (life) affinity," Jess clarified. "The same essence that can give hollow, empty entities that spark of life that every living being has."
