"(Y/n), (y/n)! Let's hang out!" Toga excitedly called to you from outside your cell. Once again you proved unresponsive. She came by every day, and although her tone seemed friendly, you couldn't help but assume she was there only to antagonize you. "(Y/nnnn)..."

Toga curled her lips down and puffed out her cheeks in a pouting manner.

"Give it a rest, she's not going to respond no matter what you say." Dabi groaned. Toga sighed and skipped out of the dark room.

After watching her leave, Dabi glanced through the bars. You were curled against the back corner, legs pulled up against your chest as if to protect yourself. Your hands were stuck in a boxlike metal shackle laced with uranium, an unstable material that made use of your quirk dangerous. It's shape reminded you of what Katsuki was bound with at the sports festival awards ceremony.

Except that was for winning a tournament and this is an actual threatening situation.

Katsuki, of course, had his reasons to feel like that, but his over the top actions never failed to put a smile on your face.

I miss him. Fuck, he's probably so livid right now...

You pulled your legs further into you. The cell was cold and damp, the thin garments provided to you shielding very little from it. You took a deep breath, imagining the feeling of Katsuki's arms wrapped around you. It was a warmth you craved, both in body and mind.

I wonder if... He's lost faith in me.

A familiar tightness crept up your throat once more.

Maybe he hates me now...

You were no stranger to crying at this point. No matter how tough you acted, you couldn't help but think of how the people who care about you must feel.

Maybe that's for the best...

Just as you felt the tears begin to spill over, you were startled by the sound of fabric against the cement. You glanced over, noticing a crumbled up blanket on the floor of your cell.

"Use it. If you freeze to death, you can't fight." Dabi mumbled. You narrowed your eyes at him, saying nothing still. "Don't give me that look. I didn't lace it with poison." You turned away from him and looked at the back wall.

"Shigaraki will get mad if he knows you're helping me." Silence fell between the both of you. Dabi sighed and bent down, ignoring your comment.

"Why are you so resistant to joining us? The heroes you trusted so much betrayed you." You bit your lip, still facing away. "I heard about the microchip. If you want to live, your best chance is working with us to retrieve and destroy the consol-"

"You're wrong." You cut him off sternly. "If they didn't believe in me, I would be dead already."

Slowly you rose to your feet, Dabi standing as well. You stood parallel to him behind the bars, eyes burning into his.

"If I must fight to keep my brother alive then I will. But..." You tensed your shoulders and gritted your teeth together. "I will remain resilient in my heart."

Dabi didn't respond, he only watched you for a moment more before turning to leave.

"Your brother huh..." He muttered. You furrowed your brow.

"What are yo-"

"Be ready. The pale piece of shit is gonna retrieve you for training in 10."

"Oh, Bakugou? You're here rather late. What do you need?" Takashi held the door open. Before the blond had a chance to answer, Takashi continued. "Never mind that, come on in!"

Katsuki trudged his way into the house and kicked off his shoes, hands lazily hung in his pockets.

"Want so tea? I'll go ahead and make us some." Takashi smiled softly as he proceeded into the kitchen.

"Takashi." Katsuki spoke, causing the man to stop in his tracks. "How are you holding up?"

Takashi eyes turned towards the floor, his lids heavy.

"I'm managing at best..." He responded before continuing into the kitchen to boil water.

Katsuki stood silently for a moment before releasing a sigh. He slowly walked around the room, peering at all the minor details he never noticed before. He stopped in front of the corner table where the picture of you and Takashi as kids sat. Wrapping his figures around the frame, he lifted it up and stared at your face solemnly.

And then he gulped before placing it back down onto the wood top.

"Mind if I look around in (y/n)'s room for a bit?" Katsuki questioned.

"That's fine. The police have already looked over it though, I doubt you'll be able to find anything." Takashi called out from the kitchen.

"I know. It's more for personal reasons..."

Katsuki proceeded up the stairs and stood in front of the door to your room. He turned the handle and pushed through slowly. The dimly lit room appear just as he had last seen it. Nothing seemed out of place or moved. Katsuki bent down and ran his fingers along the low rise table.

"I wonder at what point it all started..." Katsuki whispered to himself, recalling all the moments he had shared at the very table with you. He recalled the very first night he came over to study. The moment when he reached over and grazed your cheek while you were sleeping. It seemed so long ago.

"I guess... Maybe that was it."

He removed his hand from the table and glanced at the window. Walking over to it, he undid the lock and swung it open. And then he exited the room back into the hallway, before quietly making his way to Takashi's room.

Katsuki began shuffling through the contents of the room, eventually coming to the bedside drawer and opening it. There were a few things you'd expect to see: Tissues, some ibuprofen, a book or two. He pulled one of the books out, noticing a photo that had been turned over beneath it. Pulling a corner up, he grasped it and lifted it out.

"You know, you could have just asked me if you were curious about my room." Takashi leaned against his bedroom doorway. Katsuki narrowed his eyes and reached his hand into his pocket.

"Ahh sorry, my curiosity got the better of me." Katsuki clutches the photo in his free hand still. "Speaking of curiosity, where does your family live?"

Silence fell over the both of them. A sweat droplet formed on Katsuki's brow.

"My parents work in America. My little sister lives with them. Why do you ask Bakugou?" Takashi's voice was strained as he shifted uncomfortably in the doorway.

"I find it strange that you keep an adorable family photo like this hidden in your nightstand." Katsuki stood slowly and held out the photo. His voice deeper, sterner. His eyes burned into the man before him with a feverish intensity. "So tell me, why are you lying to me?"

"Woah there Bakugou, I think you need to calm down-"

"Your family was killed in the accident. Not only that. You also set (y/n) up out of vengeance, didn't you?

Takashi froze and fell silent, his eyes falling to the floor as a shadow cast over his face.

"That reaction leaves no doubt in my mind that I'm right." Katsuki mumbled as pushed pass Takashi into the hallway.

And then he heard a gun click behind him.

"You sure talk a lot, don't you Bakugou?"
