"Do you solemnly swear that you will tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?"

"I solemnly, sincerely and truly declare that I will tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth." You echoed back to the courtroom deputy.

"The trial has commenced, you may all take your seats." Judge Saito announced after you completed your oath.

And so they did.

You sat there on that cold wood chair and thought back to the day before you started attending UA. It felt the same. You shifted in your seat uncomfortably, gripping its edges, just trying to hold yourself together.

This is it.

It all depends on a few words.

Guilty or not guilty.

Shifting your gaze to the side, you eyed the panel of six jurors sitting in the pews a few feet away. They whispered amongst themselves, anxiously waiting for Judge Saito to begin so they could get on with their day. You sighed quietly and turned in your chair to catch a glimpse at Katsuki, who stood against the wall at the back of the courtroom. He was clearly too antsy to sit down. His eyes locked with yours before he mouthed a few words.

'You're fine you idiot.'

Heh figures...

Even if for a split second, Katsuki's typical shrewd comfort put your mind at ease. You looked around him, slightly saddened by the absence of your teachers.

I wonder where they are...

Turning back around, you peered up at the judge as he shifted through his papers.

"We will start by restating the aforementioned charges; Aiding in a criminal organization and destruction of federal property. Would anyone like to open further discussion about the presented charges?" The room remained silent. "Very well. We will now proceed in reviewing the evidence."

"The League of Villains and I had a mutual agreement. They get to exploit her quirk as much as they want, and (y/n) has to fight the people she cares about. You wanna know the best part Bakugou?! She's not resisting because I'm their hostage! Can you imagine the look on her face when she finds out this whole set up-"

Bakugou paused the recording and glared over at the jury.

"So there you have it." Katsuki grumbled, attempting to hold back any of his usual profanity. "Questions?"

He paused it right before Takashi got to the part about me losing control.

You were thankful to Katsuki about a lot of things, but especially now. Without that recording, you knew that there wouldn't even have been a trial.

The jury was absolutely shocked. They couldn't even believe their own ears. Each of them took turns glancing at you with pitiful eyes. The tension in the room made the air thick and heavy. You didn't want pity at this point, but if it helped you receive an innocent sentence you would take all the pity you could get.

"If I may ask Miss (y/n), what was the League of Villains doing with your quirk? What was their goal?" One of the men from the jury questioned.

Do I lie?

You looked up at the juror. He looked reasonable and sincere enough.
