*a few months later*

"Will I honestly don't think it's a great idea," you told him through the phone. "Darling, it'll be fun," Will said, "I'll talk to them. Talk to you later." Will ended the call and exited Martin's kitchen.

"Are you in trouble mate?" James jokingly enquired. "The girlfriend has him in a chokehold," Martin said in the same tone. "No, not at all," Will smiled.

He sat down on a sofa and kept drinking his beer. Everyone was having a conversation, the 5 men were there. "I have something to say," Will spoke out.

All eyes went on him. "I know this is Men's Night where we just talk and drink and do stupid shit, but I might have invited [Y/n] to join us," he announced. Their eyes only glanced at him, no one said anything.

"Mate, can I have a word with you?" Martin got up and waited for Will to get up to, but he didn't. "If you've got something to say to me, then say it in front of everyone," William defensively said.

Martin gazed at everyone, instead of taking his seat he stood where he was. "Mate we know that you and [Y/n] are really hitting it off, and that's great, it's absolutely fantastic, but you're involving her too much in our activities," Martin said.

"You guys don't like her?" Will quirked his brows. "No, no, it's not that. She's a wonderful person, she's nice and all other good things, but we think you're bringing her to our open conversations," Martin tried not to get Will mad.

"Everybody thinks this?" Will gazed at everyone in the room." They all just slightly nodded their heads. He gazed at Ben and saw he was agreeing too. He stood up and angrily exited the flat.

Ben sighed, "I've got this," he stood up and followed Will. Ben jogged to where Will was, "Mate." William shook his head, "How could you think like that? I'm your best friend and she is someone I love. I want to spend time with her, but I also want to be with all of you."

Ben stayed quiet, he was gazing the same way Will was, down the balcony. "They did that too when they brought their girlfriends," Will complained. "That was different, they only take their girlfriends when we go to the pub, but they don't invite them to our other events," Ben said.

"You don't understand Ben. You've never had a real girlfriend," Will harshly told him. "Oh, now you're taking it out on me?" Ben defensively questioned. Will didn't respond.

Ben scoffed and shook his head, "I know the guys and I met [Y/n] a few months ago and she's absolutely wonderful, but maybe if you told us you wanted her to be with us more then we would talk about it. That's what we did when Martin brought Amanda along to everything. You know what our motto is, bro's before...you know," Ben didn't want to say it because you were nothing like that. "We sound like fucking kids discussing about this. Mate, we're in our third year of uni, let's grow the fuck up," Ben huffed.

Will didn't say a word. He felt his car keys in his pocket. Instead of going back inside with everyone, he traveled down a few flights of stairs, went to his car and drove off.

Ben walked back into Martin's flat. Everyone knew what happened just by seeing Ben's expression. "Did he take it out on you again?" Tom enquired from his seat. Ben grabbed his beer and slumped back into his seat, "Yup."

That was how William was. "It's gonna be okay mate," James passed Ben another beer. Ben just nodded and gazed at the tv.

A few hours later, Will sent a message to their groupchat apologising for his behaviour.

"[Y/n]?" you heard someone call your name behind you. Ben promptly jogged to where you were. "Hey," you greeted him with a broad smile. He leaned in and kissed your cheek in a friendly manner.

"Let me help you with that," he grabbed one of your grocery bags. "Thank you," you breathed out feeling the weight being taken off of you. "I don't suppose you have a car," Ben mentioned. You playfully rolled your eyes and slightly pushed him, making him chuckle.

"How are you, it seems like the guys and I haven't seen you in forever," Ben commented. You timidly smiled, "Will told me what happened a few weeks ago." Ben knew you were talking about the minor argument. "Please don't think we don't like you, on the contrary we think your great. You are magnificent, but--"

"I know, Will has told me some of the things you men do during your Men's Night. Why don't you call it a sleepover?" you chuckled. "It's not manly," Ben playfully replied.

He hadn't asked where you were going, he was just following you. "So are we going to Willy's place?" Ben asked repositioning the bag in his arm. "No, we don't live together," you commented. Ben quirked his brows, but you didn't see him.

"I guess you'll get to meet my place," you sheepishly smiled. Ben hid his smirk as you continued to lead the way. A few minutes later, Ben was holding both of your bags so you could open your flat door.

"Oh, it's neat," Ben chuckled as he entered your tiny place. "Compared to Martin's place, it's very neat," you jokingly said. "You can leave the things on the kitchen counter," you pointed towards your kitchen. While Ben went to put the things down, you went to one of your cabinets and retreated two glasses of wine.

"This is my way of saying thank you. What kind do you like?" you asked Ben revealing your little variety of wines. "Oh no, I don't think I should," he began to rub the back of his neck. "Oh come on, it's just a glass of wine," you assured. Ben slightly smirked, "Do you have vodka?"

Ben didn't stay for just one drink. Once you served him his gin and tonic and yourself a cup of your favourite wine, you and him sat on your sofa just to talk. Time passed by so fast you didn't realise it was night already when you checked the time. You could tell Ben was having a great time since he lost track of time as well.

"This was great, thank you," Ben said getting up from your sofa, "I think I should get going now." You got up as well to walk him to the door, "Yeah I had great time. Thank you for joining me this evening." He opened the door and stepped over the threshold. You stepped right in front of the door and kept it open.

Instead of shaking hands, the both of you leaned in to give a friendly kiss on the cheek. You went to your right and he went to his left, almost making your lips crash. The both of you realised what almost happened and retreated your heads.

Ben and you kept moving the other way, almost causing the same thing to happen. By the third time you slightly giggled to yourself and just hugged him. "Bye Ben," you said your goodbye before closing the door.

Ben inwardly sighed and turned his face to the street. "Idiot," Ben mumbled to himself.
