(Y/N)'s POV

The sunlight creaked into the window while I slept. Not a sound was heard except for my soft breathing. Once the light shined down on my face I grunted. My eyes opened to find my empty dorm. Since I was the only person in Beacon to retrieve the special relic Professor Ozpin placed in the forest I was placed as a one man team. That was over a year ago and a lot of things have changed. I became a stronger person both physically and mentally, I made a ton of friends, and most of all I met someone special. Her name was Pyrrha Nikos and she is my girlfriend. The bed creaked as I got off of it and grabbed my school clothes. While I got dressed my scroll buzzed on the desktop. I pulled my shirt over my head and looked down to see a text from Yang. She was my best friend besides Pyrrha.

Yang Text: "I need to tell you something (Y/N)." I read.

(Y/N) Text: "Alright what is it?" I responded and within a few seconds I got a text back.

Yang: "I'd rather tell you in person." I read as I shook my head playfully.

(Y/N) Text: "Alright how about after school?" I asked her and got a text back.

Yang Text: "Meet me in the courtyard." I read.

(Y/N) Text: "Sounds good." I responded and locked my scroll. It slid smoothly into my pocket as I exited my room and walked to class. Within moments I was in the classroom and sat down. The bell rang as people began to pile into the room and take their seats. My friends walked in and went to their seats. Pyrrha waved at me as I waved back. I looked towards Yang and saw her in deep thought. I crumpled up a paper ball and threw it at her. The ball hit her in the forehead which broke her out of her thoughts. She looked at me with a scorn as I stuck my tongue out. She grabbed the ball and chucked it at me which I easily dodged. I smiled at my small victory, but was cut short when another flew in the air and smoked me right in the head. Yang snickered as I readied another ball. Right when I was about to throw it Professor Port looked at me. I dropped the ball and smiled with a little wave. He gave me a quick stare and went back to teaching. I pointed my fingers at my eyes and pointed them and Yang as she just chuckled. The rest of the class zoomed by without any trouble and the bell rang signaling lunch. Most people ran out of the classroom while I just took my time. Once everything was packed up I made my way to the cafeteria. When the doors opened I was greet with the smell of fresh food and the chatter of students. The line was short so I grabbed a tray of food and made my way to our table.

(Y/N): "Hey guys." I said while sitting down next to Pyrrha.

Pyrrha: "Hey baby." She said while planting a kiss on my cheek. I smiled as everyone began to talk.

Ruby: "So is everyone ready for the Vytal Festival?" She asked as we all nodded.

(Y/N): "All I know is I can't wait to fight." I said while taking a bite from my bread.

Jaune: "I mean they are sending the best of the best to the festival." He chimed.

Yang: "Which means there are gonna be a lot of strong people." She said.

Nora: "No matter who we face all we have to do is break their legs!!" She slightly yelled.

Ren: "Nora if we do that then we get disqualified." He said calmly.

Pyrrha: "Whatever is thrown our way we can take it." She said as we all nodded. The bell rang once again signaling that school was now over.

(Y/N): "So Pyrrha now that schools done do you wanna go into town and have fun?" I asked her.
