This is a Childhood Best Friend Blake x Male Reader requested by Fraxie7. Like usual I like to put my twist on stories if I get the idea for it so I hope you enjoy it.

Third Person POV

Trees swayed with the wind as it gently blew threw Menagerie. Markets were busy tending to customers as children frolicked around.

???: "Come on (Y/N)!!!" Shouted a young cat faunus.

(Y/N): "I'm coming Blake!!" Shouted the young boy who ran towards her. He came to a stop in front of her while trying his best to catch a breath.

Blake: "You need to exercise more." She stated.

(Y/N): "I do not. You need to slow down." A huff exited his mouth as Blake smiled at him.

Blake: "Whatever you say. Let's hurry before the sun goes down!!" She exclaimed racing ahead once again. (Y/N) only groaned as he tried his best to keep up with her. Minutes of chase ensued until they finally reached their destination. A small mountaintop surveying the entire island.

(Y/N): "I *huff* quit." He said flopping onto his back breathing heavily. Blake only laughed at the boys exhausted form.

Blake: "You really need to exercise more." She quotes once again. The boy looked at her with a scowl, but was soon replaced with a smile. He stood up once again and walked to the edge with his friend to watch the sun dip into the horizon.

The colors mixed together to create a beautiful picture of tranquility. Neither of the two spoke a word as they continued to watch the sun dip downwards. That silence was broken however by gentle crying. He looked towards Blake to see tears slowly streaming down her cheeks.

(Y/N): "Blake?" He asked concerned.

Blake: "I overheard you and you parents." She said which saddened the boys heart to no bounds. "I don't want you to leave (Y/N). I want you to stay here." She said. The boy walked up to his friend and wrapped her in a caring embrace. Tears stained his shirt as they stayed there unmoving.

(Y/N): "I don't wanna either Blake, but we have to." He said softly. This only caused her to cry even more.

Blake: "Promise me you won't forget about me (Y/N)." She said looking up at him with pleading eyes.

(Y/N): "I will never forget you Blake. I wouldn't dream of it." He said with a warm smile as she placed her head once again against his chest.

Timeskip - 14 Years

(Y/N)'s POV

My body jolted forward with sweat covering my forehead. I looked towards the clock I had on my nightstand to see it was five in the morning. A sighed escaped my lips as I ripped the blankets from my body.

(Y/N): "I'll find you." I said softly as I walked to my closet and grabbed a fresh set of clothes. It's been so long since that day happened. How many nights did I have that exact dream? How many times did I wake up not knowing where she was? I've lost count at this point.

My clothes finally covered my body as I grabbed my trusty revolver and exited the house. The skies above were clear and the sun shined beautifully. My feet kicked up dust as I walked the trail towards the nearby town.

Once the town was in sight I smiled. I continued to walk until I stood in front of a bounty board.

???: "Lookin for another one eh (Y/N)." Said a male voice from my side. I turned to see old man Mason walking towards me with a smile.

(Y/N): "Gotta make my money somehow Mason." I said offering him my hand. He shook it as I smiled in return.

Mason: "Well if you're looking for work, I've got a job for ya." He said.
