IM BACK PEEPS! WHO'S READING THE #DAWNSERIES ALL OVER AGAIN? THIS GIRL!

Anyways, as promised this will be a sort of parting chapter- don't worry I will make one-shots when holidays like Valentines or Easter arrive.

This chapter is very light and humorous and goes out to celebrate the Mother of Dawn: Devita33

It's her birthday today! Literally, when I finished rereading the Red Dawn I saw it in the facts and it gave me an idea and BOOM! This chapter was born. Also, check out the chapter she wrote for her competition winners! I got second place, I'm still wondering how I even got into top 3...

Anywho, enjoy and Happy Birthday Danelle!

The sun's rays were dimming as dusk gradually took its place in the sky.

The palace of the great God of Death and Goddess of Dawn was vibrating with silent excitement. The corridors were all embellished with colorful streamers and balloons filled with tiny metallic stars and glitter.

The aroma of sweets and savory food wafted throughout the estate. A throne room comes into view. The curtains were drawn slightly, letting in what little light was produced by the upcoming night sky. A black throne was stationed against the back wall, accompanying a dark figure sitting in it.

Thanatos was sprawled out like a cat, his cloak draping over the armrests of the obsidian cathedra and his red eyes were skimming over what looks like a novel from medieval times.

His heavy gaze then turned towards the camera, examining his massive audience that is watching behind the lens.

His lips tipped upwards in a slight smirk before he stood up straight and leaned casually in the headrest. The dark shadows covered half of his face making his eyes look like two glowing spotlights, leaving his mouth the only visible indication that he was actually there.

"Greetings, mortals." Thanatos' voice rang throughout the empty room in an echo.

"As you all may know or at least should know," He glazed pointedly at the device, "That it is someone's birthday today; someone very important."

"On this day, someone was born to grow up and cre-" He stopped suddenly, the words lodged in his throat as if it pained him to say the next sentence. He sighed and pushed aside his pride, knowing that if he wouldn't say what his wife told him to, he would feel the plush pillows of the couch for months.

"Created me, ugh- I'm sorry but I just find it preposterous that a mortal created me- the god of death!"

"So you also find it absurd that a mere human is what you fell in love with?"

The god stiffened as a new voice interrupted his introduction. This one was calm and collected with a hint of annoyance lacing their words. Thanatos looked up to see his wife walk gracefully into the room, her white dress contrasting greatly with the dark surroundings.
