What a negative term to use to describe ones feelings for someone isn't it? Well. That's Aurora for you. Always trying to deflect the good with the bad.
So, our little maiden has a brief mental breakdown, we all have our moments. She gets heavy breathing and then her thoughts take over and all goes swirling.
A major contrast between Black Dawn Aurora and Red Dawn Aurora is between their conflicting emotions towards Thanatos. Aurora is much more ruthless with herself in terms of deflecting the possibility of actually wanting to get to know the monster that she has met. She feels hot shame for feeling some sort of interest in him, because that's what everybody does. She does not want to be like everyone else.
She wants power. She wants the power to be able to deny the populace's most wanted man. The power to completely subdue her emotions and her heart. Alas, but we are all human in a way.
I think that's why Aurora feels so degraded of her mortality. She is around gods and goddesses who hold something against someone and have grace and agility in immortality. While she? Well, she is just a mortal just from a small town in Caneville. Talk about a major comparison to make.
She feels inferior, she wants to be superior. She absolutely hates having Thanatos in her mind constantly because that just means that he has some type of hold over her without trying that much.
But guess what? So does she.
However due to her insecurity to status, she does not believe for one second that someone as powerful as Thanatos could have ever gave her a second glance. She is blind to what everyone sees. They both are.
They are one in the same in such different circumstances! IT'S FRUSTRATING. Aurora is blind to what Thanatos is truly like and her true potential to actually help him and herself by rumors. Thanatos is blind to the fact that Aurora isn't actually the icu bitch that she portrays herself to be just because of their couple of interactions, which kind you he acted like an ass. And now when someone tries to tell either of them the truth, THEY BOTH FUCKING DENY IT.
Now going onwards to the 'horrible' comment, to our language, it means that she absolutely despises and finds Thanatos' touch disgusting. Though to Aurora language, if you just put it in the trusty translator it clearly translates to "Dear gods we fit perfectly together in every way and our chemistry is so explosive that my heart will burst. But my stubbornness to accept what is clearly there and try to resolve it in a formatted way leads me to stamp a completely different word onto my feelings."
