Why, hello my darlings!

Its been a minute... and a half.

I deeply apologize for the long hiatus! Just know i would never leave this uncomplete! I reallly need to woerk on my time management skills.

This chapter was supposed to be released around Christmas time, and i almost finsihed it, but thngs happened and whatnot, so it got delayed by a month...

I KNOW I'M A HORRIBLE AUTHOR, I'M SORRY.

Now, for this chapter, it's based on a classic fairytale, one told centuries ago. I'm sure the lot of you will be able to figure it out easily...

With that being said, I hope all of you had a Happy Valentine's Day, (I know I didn't, #single4life) and if you don't celebrate it, have a wonderful and joyous day!

"Good luck my dear girl!"

Aurora rolled her eyes as her mother's smaller frame wrapped around her own, the pair of bronze arms curling around her slender waist were tenacious and built of steel.

"Mother..." She murmured, nectarous indignation dripping from it's slowly withering leaves emerged from darkness as she caressed the weeping woman's shoulders. Aurora breathed out a reticent exhale when her mom speared a whimper into her neck.

"It's not that bad, mom. You have nothing to worry about." Aurora swallowed the unctuous bundle of words that held the implication that she was being a tad bit stagy. Gaia only knows how she would react to such farcical claims. She loved her mother with her very soul, but sometimes she can be mistaken for a purebred overthinker. Coming up with the most fantical scenerios ever know to man, ones that could pass for a tale of the Brothers Grimm.

It doesn't help that they lived in the confined woods of Shernora Forest, home to creatures born with mulitple eyes or other limbs, mutated bodies and hybrid breeds. Precation was a must when traveling in this environment, you never know what might be lurking only a few feet behind you.

"Oh, but it is Rora! Who knows what treacherous abnormalities that forest houses! They could be waiting for a young maiden such as yourself to pass through and feast upon your ribs as if they were drumsticks of chicken!" The sudden imagery of her daughter's mutilated body made Denise Venerelli's eyes round and eyebrows twitch at every sound that blew past her ears.

She looked up at Aurora, her bottom lip snagged between her pearly whites. Aurora knew this look all too well.

"Mom, before you dec-"

"Maybe I should just send your father to your aunt instead."

Aurora's voice died into a small flame with her mother's decision. But then, that flame turned ablaze as she stared down at her mom and grabbed her arms, pulling them to her sides. "No."
