"You don't have to be so cautious, If you practice what you preach."

Lifting me off of his lap I frowned as he stood up and sat me down in his chair.

"Did he tell you his name?" Lucky asked.

"No he told me it wasn't important. That I would find out soon enough." I answered his question.

"Fucking hell." He cursed.

"Language." I frowned.

"Sorry, baby." He muttered.

Running a hand through his hair he began to make his way out of the room. Quickly standing up I followed after him.

"Lucky." I called his name. "What's going on?"

He didn't answer.

"Lucky, your scaring me. What's wrong?" I asked him in a worried tone.

"Nothing. Nothing you should worry your pretty little head about. Everything's fine." He said.

"Are you sure?" I asked with uncertainty.

"I'm sure." He nodded. "Why don't you go in the library and find a book to read."

"But, I don't want to read." I frowned.

Suddenly hearing the door to the patio open I switched my gaze towards it. Seeing Stefan standing there, his clothes soaking wet I frowned.

Making my way towards I looked up at him.

"What were you doing outside?" I asked in worry.

"I went for a run and the rain caught me." He told me.

"Your going to get sick. It's freezing outside." I said.

Standing up on my tippy toes I pressed my hand against his forehead, but I quickly pulled it back seeing that he was warm. His skin wasn't cold from being outside.

"Why aren't you cold?" I asked him.

It was freezing outside, the temperature below the forties and the rain making it worse. So how his skin wasn't cold to the touch made me confused.

"I don't know, kitten." He answered me.

Letting out a breath I kept my gaze on him.

"Don't worry about me, baby." He said.

"We have to talk, Stefan." Lucky spoke from behind me.

"About." Stefan said.

Not hearing a reply from Lucky I sighed and turned to look at him.

"Come to the office." Lucky spoke towards Stefan.

"Let me shower and I'll meet you in there." Stefan said.

Lucky muttered a small 'Okay' as Stefan walked off.

"Lucky, is everything okay?" I asked him.

"Everything's fine." He pressed a kiss to my head.

"Okay." I whispered.

Letting go of me I made my way up the stairs. I was worried about Stefan. He was out in the freezing cold for lord knows how long and his skin was very warm.

Once I made it up the steps I lightly knocked on his door. Hearing him telling me to come in I opened the door and stepped in.

"Hey, baby." He looked down at me. "What's wrong?"
