"Who could love a rogue." The words spat out and there were like knives they hit her and my heart shatter. I realised what I had done when she got up and walked about of the room. What have I done.
Rikki Adams is a rogue not by choose unfortunately...
Rikki's POV: I'd been in the infirmary for about two days now and the doctor finally released me. Of course I had to fight Kael on every turn, he wanted me to go to the pack house but I want to go home.
"Kael will you please just take me to my apartment I want to get ready for school and no I won't be going to the pack house after I want to go home and sleep in my own bed, I'll tell you what we'll compromise you can pick me up everyday and take me to school until I'm ready to move into the pack house."
He huffed before nodding his head, I know he really wants me to stay at the pack house but I'm just not ready yet and I like my own space.
"I'll be back in a few minutes okay."
I kissed his cheek before running to my apartment but what I saw shocked me. I was being evicted, I should have paid my rent yesterday well I guess I better find somewhere else to live before Kael finds out.
I quickly jumped in the shower, I'll remove the eviction notice later I need to hurry up before Kael comes to fetch me.
After jumping out the shower and getting dressed I ran out to Kael's car. He gave me a small smile before interlocking our fingers and driving to the school but there was an odd silence.
"Kael are you alright you seem to have something on your mind?"
He just squeezed my hand as if to reassure me that everything was okay before we parked up in the car park.
"I'm fine baby come on the others are waiting for us."
He squeezed my hand before getting out the car and running around to my side to open the door for me. I smiled at him before getting out and two people crash into me.
I looked at the arms that are wrapped around me and smile when I notice it's Lottie and Skippy.
"It's about time you got here the girls have been asking me and Ryan when you'd get here. Jace and Roxy are inside with Bentley and Kilah, the twins and their mates are in lessons and Carter and Jude are making sure Jody doesn't make an appearance."
I smiled at Dillon as the girls moved back over to their mates.
I'm glad I've made some good friends at least when I do move to the pack house I know they'll have my back.
"Come on baby let's go the sooner we get in the sooner we can leave Goddess I hate this place. At least we can have a laugh at lunch and I've made sure that we have the same lessons baby."
He gave me a smirk and wink before leading me to our first lesson. I hope his theory is right because I hate this place too.
***Few Hours Later*** "Finally lunch time."
I couldn't help but laugh at Kael outburst but I'm glad he has a class clown vibe about him I'd hate him to be a serious, possessive mate.
We sat down at the table and Kael lifted me up and put me on his lap spoke to soon he is still a possessive and over protective mate. I looked around the table to see just Carter, Jude, Roxy, Jace and four other wolves I have not yet met.
"Rikki I want you to meet my twin brothers Kaleb and Kade and their mates, Ellie and Lexi."
I smile at them and they smiled back, Kael explained to me that the twins and their mates are in the year below us so I won't see them very often apart from Tuesdays, Thursdays and of course when I join the pack.
I also took note that Kael, Kilah, Kaleb and Kade all have names beginning with 'K' and they are all twins which is quite amusing to say the least.
After lunch and our last two classes he started driving me back to my apartment or at least that's what I thought.
"Your driving the wrong way Kael."
Although I don't technically have a home I still want to get my things and Kael doesn't need to know that.
Of course Kael just took one hand off the wheel and laced are fingers together, he's up to something I know it. He better not be taking me to the pack house or some help me.
"Your coming home with me baby, your my mate and your staying with me, I know you want to go to your apartment but I know you got evicted baby I came to look for you when you were getting dressed and saw the note so I had Carter and Jude grab all you stuff. Please stay with me baby I know you'll probably feel uncomfortable at first but I kind of made a promise to Bentley that you'd stay in the pack house."
Of course he did, I'm a bit sad that I'll be moving into the pack house sooner then I thought but I'm glad he got all my stuff for me it's very thoughtful of him and it makes me love him even more.
I kissed his cheek as a sign of thanks before looking out the window.
But I couldn't help the feeling that there is something else, something he's not telling me and before I knew it we arrived at the pack house.
Kael drove up the driveway and stopped right outside the house. I looked to the side of me to see a man opening my door and greeting me.
"Luna."
Kael's POV: Damn it I was hoping to tell her about that later. I thanked the guards before wrapping my arm around Rikki's waist.
"Kael is there something you want to tell me?"
She raised an eyebrow, oh my dear Goddess I love her she's so cute when she's mad.
"Your cute when your mad."
She rolled her eyes before stopping at the stair case. I quickly lifted her up and carried her up the stairs to our room. I can finally say our room and I have a reason to get up in the morning because my beautiful mate will be asleep in my arms.
"Kael you didn't answer my question."
I placed her on our bed and smiled down at her, soon she'll be my beautiful Luna.
"I'm the Alpha now baby."
Her jaw dropped and I couldn't help but chuckle. I lent down and kissed her beautiful lips.
"So my mate is my Alpha."
She whispered in between are kiss and a huge grin crossed my face, I love the way she calls me her Alpha but I really need to tell her something and I couldn't help the nervous feeling that washed over me.
"Baby the pack is down stairs and so are my parents. I promised them they could meet my beautiful mate and their new Luna."
She shivered as the words left my mouth, I know she doesn't like crowds but the quicker we do this the quicker she can relax and get used to her new home.
"Baby you'll be fine, I'll be right there with you I promise."
She looked deeply into my eyes like she was trying to see if I was telling the truth.
"Okay promise you won't let go."
She held out her hand and I gentle squeezed it, I would never throw her to the wolves although I fear she'd end up leading the pack.
"I promise baby."
