" Tignan mo itong bata na ito, tumangkad ka na naman!"

I sat at the top of the counter habang kumakain ng banana cue na ginawa ni Yaya Dalia para sa meryenda. I've had four of it already pero hindi pa rin ako nabubusog.

" Yeah. I'm 5'10 now. " i stated. " I can't believe I grew 2 inches this year. Akala ko 5'8 lang ako ngayon. "

I went to the doctor for my annual checkup . Dapat talaga every month siya pero It's such a hassle to go to the doctor every month.

Sinamahan ako ni Naomi pumunta sa clinic kasi sinabihan siya ni Mom na may schedule daw ako. Magkasundo kasi silang dalawa kaya may mga bagay na hinahabilin si Mom kay Naomi. I went to pick her up at her house. She went out looking like she just got home from a date. She even had make up on, so there's no doubt that she did.

" You went on a date? " tanong ko sa kaniya. She looks away embarrassed.

" N-no. Ganito lang talaga ang suot ko. " sagot niya sa akin.

Seriously? I mean Naomi really looks good with her white dress and how her hair perfectly falls down in her shoulder but she's a bit overdressed for our trip to the hospital.

I was just wearing a white star wars shirt and a Golf wang sweatpants. This is casual.

" Ah, okay. So mamaya pagkatapos mo akong samahan sa check up ko may date kayo nung sewer rat looking mong boyfriend? "

Buti na lang hindi siya nagalit  nung sinabi ko na mukhang sewer rat yung boyfriend niya. It's true though. I'm not trying to be mean but whateverhisname looks like a smelly sewer rat.

Yuck.

Naomi entered my car and checked herself to the rear window in her side.

" Do I look okay? " tanong niya sa akin. Her face was flushed at hindi siya makatingin ng maayos sa akin.

God, she's so adorable kanina! Pero I'm trying to be more of a friend and less of a creeper.

" Yeah, you look beautiful. "  i started driving out of their property and I could have sworn that she said thank you in her soft voice.

Going back with my conversation with Yaya;

" 49 kilos ka lang sa ganiyang tangkad mo? Hindi ka kasi kumakain ng maay— "

Yaya Dalia suddenly stopped talking.

" Malakas ka nga pala kumain. " Yaya Dalia sighed. " Alam mo ba na idiet daw kita utos ng nanay mo? "

" What for? My doctor said I was underweight. " sagot ko sa kaniya.

" Siyempre mas maganda yung nakakain ka ng maayos at hindi puro junk food ang kinakain mo. " she told me. " Hindi ka lalaki ng maayos kapag— "

Tumigil na naman siya ng pagsasalita.

" Hay naku, matangkad ka nga pala. " she shook her head and gave me the envelop with my results. " Itago mo iyan ng mabuti. "

I went to fridge and grabbed two diet cokes. Kaya ko ubusin ang laman ng isang diet cole sa loob lang ng 20 seconds. That's probably one of my special talents.

" Is Lucia at her room ? "

" Umalis siya mga ilang minuto bago ka dumating. Mukhang nga nagmamadali siya. "

Saan naman kaya pupunta iyon? Does she have a date too? Why do people in relationships get excited for dates anyway? What's so special about it?

" I'll head out. " I stretched my arms as I yawned. Talking to the doctor makes me feel so sleepy because he's boring.
