"But don't you think it's a little unprofessional to go for a 'business meeting' with fringe this long?" Steve asked, looking at himself in the mirror. "I don't suggest cutting it, but still..."
"Oh come on it isn't that long," said Adam, adjusting Steve's hair. "Also, not much is falling over your face. It's only covering a bit of your hairline."
"Well, I don't know," said Steve. "By the way, what's taking Hwoarang so long?"
"I have no idea," said Adam, fixing Steve's outfit up a bit more. "But he better come early if he decides to wear a ridiculous outfit. Or else I wouldn't have enough time to fix it."
"I hope not," said Steve. "If he does that, you're gonna replace him. Please?"
"We'll see first," said Adam. "Nah just go alone."
"You're so mean," Steve said, annoyed. "By the way, move. You stink!"
"Now who's being mean?" Adam said with a grin. "You should smell yourself when you first wake up! By the way, you look great."
"I do?" Steve said, looking at himself in the mirror. "Oh yeah, I do. Should I take a cane or a briefcase as a prop or something?"
"A cane?" Adam asked, laughing. "A briefcase is okay, but a cane? You think you're from the fifties or something?"
"Maybe," said Steve. "Well I did disguise like a fifties man once."
"Really?" Adam asked, interested. "When? Who were you spying on? It's not me, is it?"
Steve was at a lost for words. This was because he was spying on Adam. During his date with Nina back in Yakushima.
But it was a good thing Anna came to the rescue. She came in to see if he needed any makeup touches.
"Hmm I don't think you do," said Anna, studying Steve's face. "You look different enough, I hope."
"Oh please anything but makeup," said Steve, imagining Anna coating his face with heaps of makeup. "Auntie please. I don't think I'll feel good in makeup..."
"Well it doesn't feel good at all," said Adam. "It feels heavy."
"Wait a minute," said Anna, shocked. "Are you telling me that you've worn makeup before?"
"Kinda," said Adam with a sigh. "I went to a friend's place, Alisa's place to be exact. I went there for some group project during high school."
"And then?" Anna asked sitting down on Steve's and Adam's bed.
"I was exhausted because I had a track meet that morning, and a chemistry pop quiz," said Adam. "Oh wait I had an English presentation that day and a history test. So as a cherry on top, I had to do a group project for biology so I had to go to Alisa's place since our team was meeting there."
"Then?" Steve asked, impatiently. "Just tell us already..."
"I did my part in the project and fell asleep on her couch," said Adam. "Alisa didn't realise I was still there because all of our team mates had gone home, except for me. So she decided that it was funny to do a makeup tutorial on me."
"Oh my gosh really?!" Anna asked, laughing. "And then what did she do?"
"She snapped a picture of it," said Adam. "I don't know if she still has that photo. I hope not..."
"What did you do when you woke up?" Steve asked, imagining Adam panicking and running to the nearest bathroom to wash his face.
"I just went home," Adam said, much to their surprise. "Alisa tried to make me wash my face but I refused, saying I can do it at home. My face felt... weird, but I declined her offer anyway."
"What happened after that?" Anna asked.
"Well, I couldn't drive a car yet at the time, and was only allowed to drive a motorcycle," said Adam, rubbing his face in embarrassment. "Since Alisa's place was nearby, I didn't bother to bring my helmet. Oh you should've seen the faces of my neighbours. One of them even hit a pole!"
"Oh no..." said Steve. "How did your parents react?"
"They looked at me in shock and asked me if I was going for a costume party," said Adam. "I had no idea what they were talking about, until I saw my reflection in the mirror."
Adam went on to explain how he screamed out Alisa's name as if he wanted to kill her.
"Oh my," said Anna. "I'm sure the whole of England heard you."
"When I met her in school the next day, she begged me not to snitch on her to Dr B," said Adam. "And when I didn't budge, she threatened me to show my photo to my best friends."
"Did she?" Steve asked. "Oh come on, say that she did!"
"What kind of a son are you?" Adam asked, annoyed with Steve. "She didn't, but I snitched on her anyway. Dr B wasn't exactly pleased with her, but he didn't punish her. He took me out for a fun outing to make up for it though."
"Wow..." Nina said, entering the room. "Hey, you do look good in makeup though. I asked Alisa send me the picture, and yes she still has it."
"Wait what?" Adam asked, shocked. "No no no no! How could she?"
"Adam, I'm gonna marry you soon, so it doesn't really matter," said Nina. "But you actually look kinda cute, here see this!"
She showed the phone around and they started laughing at his picture.
Meanwhile, Shasha was putting on a pair of sneakers in the living room. She was busy tying her shoelace when someone knocked on the door.
"That's weird," Shasha thought, getting up. "The gate isn't unlocked yet. How did they get in?"
She quickly pulled her shoes on and went to get the door, guard up high. She opened it to see a man with a hat and sunglasses standing there. His hair was quite long and it was red.
"Umm do I know you?" Shasha asked. "Also how did you get in through the gates? And who are you?"
The man looked a little shocked at first but then quickly recovered.
"I'm here to meet Shasha?" The man said. "I'm from... the Police Force. You are under arrest."
"Oh really?" Shasha asked, not believing this man one bit. "And how did you know that I'm Shasha?"
"I uh didn't know," said the man. "So you're Shasha?"
"Okay so firstly, where's your uniform?" Shasha asked. "Or at least your ID? And secondly, how the heck did you get in through the gates? I'm gonna call the real police and accuse you of breaking and entering!"
She took out her phone and started calling Lei when the man snatched her phone.
"Hey what are you doing?!" Shasha asked in shock. "Give that back!"
He declined the call and heaved a sigh of relief before giving it back to her.
"I can't believe you still don't recognise me," the man said suddenly. "Well, I guess my disguise worked, then."
Shasha stared at him in shock. She knew that voice only too well.
"Hwoarang?!" Shasha shouted, putting her phone back into her pocket. "You idiot! I really thought you were an fraud or something, you know that?"
She started shaking him by the shoulders and he was laughing at her.
"Okay okay, I'm sorry," he said. "I was just fooling around."
"And let me guess," said Shasha. "You climbed the gate again, didn't you?"
"Yes?" Hwoarang said. "Okay, I shouldn't have done that. Now where are the others?"
"Upstairs," said Shasha. "They were laughing at something, not really sure what."
"Shasha, you've gotta see this!" Steve exclaimed, running down the stairs with Adam chasing him. "You have to see this!"
