The reminder

Steve stepped forward and faced Shasha alone.
"Play Snow Castle By Namco!" He shouted at Adam's music player.
"What's he trying to do?" Anna asked, confused. "And why Snow Castle?"
"I think I might know," Nina said. "He's trying to remind her of the tournament!"
"Don't you like this song?" Steve asked, getting into his fighting stance. "You said you really liked it."
A little bit of the tournament flashed through her mind. But still, the mind-controlling mechanism was loyal to its creator.
"Round 1, fight!" Adam decided to shout.
"Seriously?" Nina said, annoyed. "At a time like this?"
"Hey it might work?" Adam said with a shrug. "Anyway, we have nothing to do but watch right?"
"That's true too," Anna said. "We didn't intervene in the tournament."
Steve fought her and he knew that his plan was working when she started to slow down. The memories from the tournament were becoming stronger in her head. The song was helping too. In the end, she collapsed to the ground, before Steve could even land a hit. The others ran to investigate.
"Oh no did you beat her up too much?" Nina asked Steve. "I thought you only wanted to remind her of it, but you ended up beating her up?"
"I didn't attack her much," Steve said, kneeling down to examine her. "She just collapsed!"
"Shasha, are you okay?" Anna asked holding her up on her lap. "Do you remember us?"
"I'm sorry...guys..." Shasha said, almost in a whisper.
Then she lost consciousness.
"Lets take her to Doctor B," Adam said. "Come on."
They carried her and saw Jin approaching them in his helicopter.
"I'll take her to the Zaibatsu," Jin said, taking her. "Meet us there."
They agreed and handed her over. They drove to the Zaibatsu and went straight to the lab basement. Doctor Bosconovitch was examining Shasha.
"She's fine, don't worry," the doctor said. "But it would take time for her to wake up. She needs to recover from whatever drug they used to control her mind."
"What did they use?" Nina asked. "Is it dangerous?"
"I'm not really sure what the drug is, but it's harmless," Doctor Bosconovitch said. "According to this test, the aftermath of it is sleep. She would only wake up when the drug has worn off."
"Thank goodness for that," Anna said. "But who could've done this?"
"Can't you see?" Nina said. "It was Joseph Nelson! He's still pretty mad about me killing his brother. And probably pissed at you because he died on your wedding day..."
"But I had nothing to do with it!" Anna said. "I was sincere to him!"
"Maybe it's because he died trying to kill you," Steve pointed out. "If he just kept quiet and mind his own business, he wouldn't have been killed."
"Well, that's his problem, not mine," Anna said, annoyed. "Anyway, should we just leave her here?"
"Don't worry, Anna," Alisa said. "We'll take care of her."
"Well, trust Alisa to take care of her," Adam said with a chuckle. "But don't go draw on her face or anything, like what you did to me..."
Alisa laughed as she remembered how she applied makeup on him when he was fast asleep.
"How come you didn't stir, I still don't know," Alisa said between laughter. "Anyway, I won't do anything like that."
"I'll make sure," her robotic clone said with smile. "I'll stay by her side."
The others thanked the Russians and left. They had a long day but were relieved to find that their friend was safe. It was Tuesday and she obviously couldn't go to school the next day.
Doctor Bosconovitch was gonna give her an MC for the rest of the week. She would've been happy to accept it.

"Where is she?" Penelope asked as she sat down in front of Ella. "She did say she was coming right?"
"Yeah..." Ella said, checking the messages from Shasha the previous day. "She didn't say anything about not coming."
"Hmm..." Penelope said. "Maybe she's just late? Like Ash?"
But Ash soon arrived but Shasha didn't.
"Maybe she isn't feeling well enough to reply to our texts," Ella said. "She wouldn't usually not reply."
Class went on and soon it was time to go home. They texted Shasha but she did not reply. This was because she was still unconscious in the lab.
"If she doesn't come tomorrow too, we'll go to her house," Ash said. "You know where she lives right?"
"Yes I do," Ella said. "I've been there for a few times. I've even slept over once."
"Wow..." Penelope said, surprised. "Sad fact, I've never slept over with anyone before."
"Well, we slept at your place, remember?" Ash pointed out. "Besides, Linda was with us too."
"Oh yeah," Penelope said sheepishly. "Yeah whatever. Let's just go home."
They went home and the next day, they were surprised to see that Shasha was yet again absent.
"We're going to her place to see her," Ash said. "Come on, Ella. Lead the way."
Ella led them to Nina's mansion. They found it locked up tight. Usually the gates would be unlocked but they saw a giant padlock hanging on the gates.
"Nobody's home," Ash said, examining the lock. "Is there anywhere else they might be?"
"The Mishima Zaibatsu!" Ella exclaimed. "Come on. My dad says he's quite free now. He can drop us there."
Mr Hitohara arrived and drove them to the Mishima Zaibatsu building. They got out and went to the lobby. Ash pulled them to the receptionist.
"What's their name?" Ash asked Ella. "You know them, right?"
"Nina something..." Ella said, trying to remember her name. "Nina... Williams!"
"She's busy today," the receptionist said, much to their dismay. "She said she wouldn't be seeing anyone today."
"What about her sister?" Ella asked. "Anna Williams?"
"She got transferred a few months ago," the receptionist said. "She's working again Violet Systems now."
"What about her son?" Ella asked. "Steve something?"
"They are all busy today for some reason," the receptionist said with a shrug. "They said they would see no one. Even Adam."
"Them we would like to see the CEO," Ash simply said. "Jin Kazama."
"He's having a meeting," the receptionist said, annoyingly. "Clear out now..."
Annoyed, they had no choice but to leave.
"Should we wait in the lobby?" Penelope asked. "I mean... someone's bound to come out right?"
They were gonna sit down when a pink haired girl approach them.
"I saw that you were looking for Nina," she said. "Are you by any chance Shasha's friends?"
"You know her?" Ella asked, surprised. "Who are you?"
"I'm Alisa," the girl introduced herself. "I'm Shasha's friend too."
"Do you know where she is?" Ella asked. "We're kinda worried for her. She hasn't been answering our texts and calls."
"Oh don't worry," Alisa said with a smile. "She's okay."
"Where is she?" Penelope asked. "She's not at her home."
Alisa thought for a moment, or at least, that's what it looked like.
"Sure, I can take you to her," Alisa said, leading them towards the elevator. "She's in the basement floor."
She took them downstairs.
"What happened to her?" Ella asked in the elevator. "She's okay right? Because... as far as I know, the basement is where the labs are."
"She's fine, don't worry," Alisa assured. "Come on."
