Yoshimitsu got ready to go and deliver some cash to a poor village near Mount Fuji. He waited for his men in the courtyard.
He purposely came really early because he wanted to meditate outside in the fresh morning air of the Manji Valley. He sat down in the centre and took a deep breath. He cleared his mind and relaxed himself.
All of a sudden, he heard the melody of a flute being carried by the wind. Confused, he opened his eyes and looked around.
He saw the faint figure of someone standing on the last roof of the pagoda. The music seemed to flow down from there.
Squinting his eyes, and zooming in with his visor, he was surprised to see a person wearing a familiar mask.
The song was familiar too. He had heard Kunimitsu play it while she was still affiliated with the Manji Clan. He couldn't mistake it. She had told him it was a song that her grandfather had taught her.
And now, this woman was playing it too. And she looked incredibly like Kunimitsu. Yoshimitsu grimaced under his mask and took his sword out, preparing to fight.
Kunimitsu swiftly jumped off and landed in front of him. She looked like the Kunimitsu he met years ago, but her hair was black with red and purple streaks tied into a high ponytail.
"My mother told me about you," she said. "You seem like a waste of time..."
Yoshimitsu gave out a laugh that caused the woman to let out a disgusted sound.
"You seem like one too," Yoshimitsu said. "Why don't you prove it?"
The masked woman took her kodachi out and prepared to fight. She charged towards him to attack.
But all of a sudden, a loud throbbing sound disturbed the usual calm Manji village.
The two ninjas looked up and saw a helicopter flying overhead. The helicopter flew downwards as if about to land in front of them. The rest of the clansmen ran out to look. To their surprise, this aircraft was floating above their valley.
To their even bigger surprise, the bottom of the helicopter opened. The Manji people thought that it was launching a missile or a bomb at them.
Instead, a large net spread out and landed exactly on a Kunimitsu. It then swallowed her and started to ascend back into the helicopter.
Kunimitsu tried to cut the net with her kodachi, but to her surprise, it appeared to have been made of metal even though it felt flexible like normal nets.
"What's going on?!" Kunimitsu shouted. "Let me go!"
The Manji clansmen were equally confused at the events that happened before them. Yoshimitsu scratched the back of his tentacle-filled helmet with his prosthetic hand.
"Manji, prepare for our mission," Yoshimitsu commanded. "Get on your horses! Treasurer, prepare the donation!"
The men rushed off to follow his orders. Though confused, Yoshimitsu couldn't just bail on his mission just because of what just happened.

Kunimitsu ascended on the inside of the helicopter. Her net was lifted off and she was freed. She leapt up to her feet and looked around, ready to fight.
But to her surprise, she heard the melody that she had just been playing on the roof of the pagoda. From the shadows, a familiar face appeared. The scarred face that she had grown to love as she grew up.
"Mom?" Kunimitsu said, surprised. "Is that you?"
Kunimitsu Senior smiled.
"Come," she said, gently pulling her daughter towards the seats at the side.
She sat down next to her and put her flute aside. Her insecurity forced her to put her mask back on.
"Mom, what's going on?" The daughter asked. "Who's doing this?"
"There's no point in taking his sword, sweetie," Kunimitsu said. "It would lead us to no where. We would still have the same life of thieving around to steal other people's possessions."
"But why, mom?" The daughter asked again. "I was this close to getting his sword!"
"It's no use, honey," the redhead said, caressing her daughter's masked face. "We would still live in the same house. In the same dump that doesn't even serve as a permanent home."
"But how, ma?" The younger kunoichi asked. "This is our life! This is how it has always been!"
Kunimitsu chuckled and put an arm around her daughter. She took her daughter's mask off, revealing her beautiful face with purple and red makeup around her eyes.
"I will show you our new home," Kunimitsu said. "But it isn't free. In return, we must conduct some missions for a good cause."
"What kinda missions?" The daughter asked doubtfully, expecting missions like doing charity and volunteer work for some reason.
"Spying," Kunimitsu said with a grin. "Ninja work, stealth, espionage. But we also need to train to become soldiers for the Mishima Zaibatsu's Tekken Force."
"Tekken Force?!" The younger woman repeated in shock.
She imagined using all kinds of high tech weapons like guns, tankers, flame throwers and crossbows. Those weapons seemed to be a lot cooler than the sheathed knives she had on her back.
"Sign me up!" The younger ninja said. "I wouldn't mind doing all of those if it means living in a nice, cozy house."
"We have a nice neighbour too," Kunimitsu added.
"Hi!" A voice came.
A cheery black-haired girl came with it.
"This is Josie, our neighbour," Kunimitsu introduced. "She's in the Tekken Force too."
Josie cheerfully began engaging in a conversation with the younger ninja. The redhead looked over at the shadowed area and gave a nod of approval, holding up her thumb.
Lars nodded too, though Kunimitsu could barely see him. They flew off to the Mishima Zaibatsu building and landed on the helipad. Kunimitsu II was surprised to see three other people that she didn't see in throughout the trip getting off the aircraft with her.
"Who are you?" The young kunoichi asked, surprised. "Also, how long have you been there?"
"The whole time," Jin said. "Anyway, come. We need to have a talk."
They went to Kunimitsu's apartment. More like Kunimitus' apartment now.

Jin, Lars and Jun explained their plan to the three ladies. Kunimitsu II looked around the house in awe. She was glad to live in such a nice place.
"Okay, Kunimitsu," Jin said. "You are gonna spy on her at work. While you, Kunimitsu, are gonna spy on him on his way home."
"Which of us spy on who and where again?" The mother asked. "I mean, which one of us Kunimitsus are spying on her at work and which one of us are spying on him on his way home. By the way, are we spying on a man or a woman or are there two people?"
Jin slapped his forehead.
"Okay first, lets get rid of the confusion of your names," Jun said with a chuckle. "How about this, we call you Kuni, and we call you Mitsu."
"Sounds like Mitsubishi, but okay," Mitsu said with a shrug. "At least now we wont be confused."
The three of them explained the story to them in more detail.
"We got this," Mitsu said with a grin. "Josie's joining us too right?"
"Yep," Josie said with a wide grin. "I'm in on this!"
The Mishimas left and went up to their penthouse. Kazuya was hanging around with Lee in his mansion. These three decided to join them too.
