Since you've entered Ms. Luthor's office, you've been unable to think straight. All you could hear was your wolf screaming about the fact that she was your mate. You didn't want it to be true because you had nothing to offer her if she really was meant to be your mate.
"So you've worked as a bodyguard for several years now, you were at your old job for almost 3 years. Can I ask what happened?"
Lena looks up from your resume when you don't answer her question. It seemed like you weren't mentally present.
"Ms. (l/n)? Ms. (l/n)?!"
She's about to stand up and walk over to you when you snap out of your trance.
"I-I'm sorry, Ms. Luthor. I've been feeling a little under the weather. What were you asking?"
Lena knew you weren't saying the truth for some reason but she ignored her gut and continued with the interview.
"Congratulation, Ms. (l/n). You've impressed me and I don't think I can interview another person with my mind already made up. You start tomorrow. Jess will take you down to HR to finalize the contract. It shouldn't take long."
"Thank you for the opportunity, Ms. Luthor."
She smiles and calls Jess over to take you to the HR department.

Being Lena's bodyguard was demanding. She had assassination attempts every other week. They were easily foiled thanks to you being a werewolf and Ms. Luthor being close friends to Supergirl. It was hard taming your inner wolf whenever Lena's life was in danger because it just wanted to come out and protect her at all costs.
As the assassination attempts continued, the more aggressive your wolf was to get out. You just knew it was a matter of time before you would accidentally turn in front of everyone.
"Ms. Luthor!"
You step in front of her, letting the bullet hit your back. Rather than going through you, it just slides down your back. You let out a literal growl, wanting to rip the human's throat that wanted to kill your mate. Not wasting another second, you covered Lena and led her to her car where her driver was already waiting for her.
"Take Ms. Luthor to L-Corp. The guards are already waiting to escort her to the panic room until we deal with the threat."
"Wait, (y/n), where are you going?! You're not going with me?"
"I'm sorry, Ms. Luthor. I need to chase who tried to shoot you."
You close the door and run to where you had last seen the man take off. Taking a brief glance to check that the cost was clear, you transform and track him down by his scent that you had managed to catch. You're too distracted with trying to catch the man that you didn't realize that Lena had followed you and watched you transform infront of her eyes. Using one of her drone prototypes meant for the DEO, she uses it to track you down all over to city. When she sees you run to the nearby forest, she jumps in a car and follows after you.
