Arohi's P.O.V.
I was about to help him pick up the files when he raised his hand stopping me. He had a stern expression on his face. I didn't listen to him and took up the last file on the ground but he grabbed it from my hand and stood up. I also stood up. He silently went and sat on his chair and opened one of the file and began reading it. "Why are you so cold towards me? What have I done?" I asked. He continued reading his file without answering me. I dropped my shoulders and looked at him shaking my head. I went and took the file away from him much to his surprised and turned his chair to me. "Answer me," I said. He looked up at me and said, "You know very well what you have done." He took back the file and was about to open it when I grabbed it from his hand and went to the other side of the table. "What are you doing? Give me back my file," he ordered. I hugged it and said with a childish pout, "No, I won't!" "What childish behaviour is this Arohi? Give me back the file," he said. "First tell me why are you angry," I said. He heaved a sigh and stood up. "Who told you speak so rudely to your father because of me?" he said. "I did! How can he speak to you like that?" I said. "When I had no problem with his scolding then you also shouldn't. And besides, he was scolding me, he slapped me, and he was right!" he said. He faced his back to me. "But I have a problem. He can't ignore all the times you saved me! He can't complain that your security isn't good enough!" I said. I went and stood behind him and said, "Just because he's my father, I can't stand by him with his wrong doings, right?" He turned and looked at me and then walked back to his table. Resting both his hands on the table, he remained silent. I turned and went and stood by him again and said firmly, "I don't think what I did was wrong and if he also didn't think so, he wouldn't have apologised to you." He stood straight and pointed his finger to me saying, "See, this is your problem! You don't care! Your father came and apologised to me and you think that he was doing the right thing?" "So what did he do right? Slap you? Scold you? For what?" I asked. "For you!" he said.
"He's a father! He is worried about his daughter. If there were anyone else in his place, they would have reacted the same way. Understand his point of view," he said. "Fine! I am wrong! I am always wrong right? I back answered my father defending you, I am wrong. I thought that he was wrong in the way he spoke to you, I am wrong. In my opinion, he slapped you for something completely wrong, I am wrong," I said annoyed. I held his hand and slammed the file on it. "I am always wrong, I admit it!" I said and walked out. I was leaving the apartment when Uncle Zeeshan stopped me saying, "Arohi, come, have dinner with us." I turned around and saw Mafia standing outside his small office looking at me. Without moving my eyes from him, I said gritting my teeth, "No thanks Uncle. I had enough already." I looked at Uncle Zeeshan and said, "My stomach's full." I left the apartment.
Deep's P.O.V.
I looked at Arohi leaving the apartment annoyed. Uncle Zeeshan came to me and stood with folded arms and asked, "What did you tell her?" I heaved a sigh and said, "Nothing Uncle. I haven't told her anything that isn't right for her. If she wants to fume, then let her." I left and went into my room. I took off my blazer and threw it on the bed. I loosened my tie and took it off. I unbuttoned the two top buttons of my shirt and sat on my bed. Uncle Zeeshan came and asked, "Shall I serve dinner?" "I'm not hungry," I said. "You two are impossible!" he said shaking his head and left. "I am not impossible, she is! She can't understand a simple thing that her father is only worried about her. She's only worried about the slap and scolding! I am not going to talk to her. Let her swell her face for more," I said. I took out my phone from my pocket and rested it on the bed. I looked at it for a second and thought about calling her but then ignored it. "I'm sure that she won't have dinner in her anger! She'll sleep hungry!" I said. I took up the phone and rested the home button. The phone screen came on and I looked at her picture which I had saved as the phone's screen wallpaper. "Why are you like this? You always keep me away from you and never admit that you love me but if anyone says anything against me, you get angry. Even if it's your own father. You told him off so badly today, he must have been so hurt. But no! You only want to prove that there is no shortcomings in my security!" I spoke to the picture. I called her apartment's number and Mr. Kashyap answered, "Hello?" I removed the phone from my ear and covered the microphone. "What have I done? Why did I call?" I said. I removed my hand and said nervously, "Hello, Mr. Kashyap." "Deep, yes, tell me," he said. What do I say now? "Mr. Kashyap, I...I called....I called to....ask....if you have forgiven me," I said getting an excuse. "Of course son," he said. Then I got an idea. "Mr. Kashyap, if you have really forgiven me, then you have to dine with us tonight," I said. "Of course. I will," he said. I grinned. "And bring Ananya and Arohi along too, we will all have dinner together," I said.
