Part 71

Ananya's P.O.V.

Once Avinash left, I couldn't sleep any longer. I laid on the bed and only smiled. "If I can't be in a relationship with Avinash, I can at least remain with him as a friend. I have realised that my happiness is seeing him happy. I am overjoyed and overwhelmed that he actually fulfilled a promise that I didn't expect to be fulfilled. He came this early just so that I see him first thing when I open my eyes. Sonia is very lucky that she has Avinash as a life partner," I thought to myself. I played with the blanket while thinking about him. "You've woken up already?" Arohi asked sleepy waking up and rubbing her eyes. I smiled at her as she came and sat next to me. "Good morning," I said chirpy. "You seem to be in a great mood," she said scratching her head. "I am," I said taking a deep breath. "I'm going for a coffee," she said. I smiled and looked at her leaving the room.

Avinash's P.O.V.

I called a bodyguard and asked him to meet me on the road which my car was left. I reached and went to the car. Everything was as I left it. I took my phone and looked at all the missed calls from Deep sir, Arohi and Sonia. I stood and waited for the bodyguard to come. I sat in my car and he drove the next car back to the city. While going back to the building, Deep sir called me. Answering, he said, "Go to the campus and prepare everything for me, I am coming there after the hospital." "Yes, sir," I said and made a U-turn and drove to the campus. I went and began preparing his office.

Deep's P.O.V.

I reached the hospital to meet Ananya. As I was walking through the corridor, I was instructing Avinash over the phone to keep my office ready as I was going back to the campus in a while. While walking, I bounced into someone and looking at her, I smiled. "Good morning, ex-girlfriend," I said. She glared at me and scolded, "Can't you watch where you are going?" I held my hands behind my back and leaned a bit forward to her saying, "When such beautiful faces are before me, how can I pay attention?" She looked at me getting red. "And besides, I was talking to the new girl who have been demoted to my girlfriend," I said. Her blushing red face then turned to a face red of anger. I stood straight and said, "Move aside from my way." Her lips formed an o and she looked away saying annoyed, "No! You can walk around me." I opened my mouth to answer back but I realised that she wanted me to argue with her and said, "As you wish." I walked around her and into Ananya's room leaving her disappointed behind. As I entered the room, I saw Ananya laying on the bed with a pleasant smile on her lips. I'm glad she was happy. Walking to her with a smile, I said, "Someone seems jolly." She looked at me and said, "Good morning." I sat next to her and said, "Good morning." The nurse whom I was flirting with yesterday came inside the room with medicines and looked at me blushing. I smiled back. From the corner of my eyes, I saw a figure standing at the door and turned my head making my gaze casual and saw Arohi angrily looking into the room at the door. I smiled amused and looked at the nurse. I stood up and went behind the nurse. "Hi," I said. She looked at me and smiled. "Can I help with something?" I asked. "It's ok sir," she said softly. "Not sir, Deep, call me Deep," I said. "Deep," she said lowering her eyes. Arohi stormed into the room and sat down on the stool and looked at Ananya. Ananya on the other hand, understand what I was doing perhaps and smiled entertained. 

Turning back to the nurse, I requested, "Please allow me to help with something." She nodded and said, "Can you break a small piece of cotton and give it to me?" I nodded and did as she said. She soaked it in some rubbing alcohol and rubbed it on Ananya's hand. She took the syringe and injected Ananya. I looked at Arohi angry as ever as she glared at the nurse. After giving the injection, I said, "That's all you needed help with?" She nodded. "Wow! You are very easy to help. Otherwise other people are only satisfied when you risk your life to help them," I said directing it to Arohi. She looked away from me. "Ok Ananya and beautiful nurse, I'll take your leave. I have to go to work," I said. She looked back at me. Climax time! I held the nurse's hand and planted a kiss on her knuckles leaving everyone surprised. She smiled and walked out of the room. Next, I held Ananya's hand and kissed her knuckles. I stretched my hand out deliberately for Arohi's and as she was about to hold my hand, I pulled it away and said, "You haven't taken a shower for the morning. And it also doesn't look good to kiss your ex-girlfriend's hand, right?" I looked at her and then at Ananya saying, "I'll come back this evening." I glimpsed at Arohi and left the room.
