Avinash's P.O.V.

I entered the building with Arohi and went up to my apartment. As I entered, I noticed someone sitting on the couch and stopped. The person got up and turned around and looked at me with a bright smile turning into a frown. It was Ananya. "You?...How did you get inside?" I asked. She looked at me from head to toe and came to me worried, asking, "How did this happen? Are you ok?" She held my shoulders and looked at me with tears in her eyes. I held her hands gritting my teeth and pushed her away slightly. "I'm fine," I said and walked to my couch and sat down.

Arohi's P.O.V.

I was stunned at Ananya's behaviour and concern for Avinash. How did this miracle happen? She looked at me with tears in her eyes and her face paled with sadness after his behaviour. "How did this happen, Mr. Sahni?" she asked me. "Umm....a fire broke out at the warehouse and...." I started and she gasped and turned to him without letting me finish. She quickly went and sat down next to him. With one hand on his shoulder and the next on his lap, she asked, "Are you injured badly?" Avinash glared at her angrily and got up without answering. He couldn't go anywhere though because Ananya held back his hand. "Sit down," she said sternly. Avinash turned back to her and pulled his hand away saying, "Excuse me?" She stood up and looked at him with all seriousness. "Sit down," she repeated. He looked at her face and frowned but obeyed. She looked around and walked up to a small shelf he had in his living room. She opened and closed the drawers and finally found a first-aid kit. She went back and sat with him and held his hand. He reluctantly pulled it away but she held it back and pulled it towards her. "Behave yourself!" she scolded. My eyes widened as I looked at the both of them. She slowly began cleaning the wound and applying medicine. "You don't go anywhere without coming back home injured. Why do you always have to play a hero and get yourself hurt? If I wasn't here, who would have done all of this?" she asked looking at the cut. Avinash only stared at her. He had forgotten by now maybe that I am also here. Ananya attended to him like a caring and dutiful wife and Avinash stared at her like a loving husband. But even I know that this thought is never going to become reality. Because no matter how cute they are looking right now, inside, they must be wanting to kill each other.

I sat and stared at Ananya as she cleaned the wound. I was a bit surprised at how she scolded me and forcefully held my hand to dress the wound. She had tears in eyes but didn't raised them to meet mine and kept them on the cut. "Why are you crying for me?" I asked. She shook her head and said, "I'm not crying?" Just after saying that, a teardrop fell on my hand and I looked at it. She raised her eyes to meet mine and she was crying. Her eyes were red and wet. "Don't do this Avinash. You have no idea what I went through when I saw you like this a while ago," she said. My heart melted seeing her and I automatically raised my hand to wipe away her tears but stopped. She looked at my hand and frowned. I awkwardly looked away from her as she continued to dress the wound. After she was finished, she wiped away her tears and said, "I have brought lunch for you. I heard that you didn't have breakfast so I thought that you must be hungry and cooked this for you." She gave me the bowl and stood up. I rested it aside and said, "I am not hungry. You didn't had to bring me anything." "Oh! She brought it with so much love, have it!" Arohi said as Joginder. I looked at her as she came to me and Ananya smiling. I looked at her with a straight face. "I'm going. I will come to visit you this evening," Ananya said to me making me a bit annoyed. "No need! I don't need anyone's help or support for anything," I said. She remained silent and frowned. She left without saying anything again. Arohi came and sat next to me and as she opened her mouth to talk, I said, "I don't want to hear any rubbish right now. Your sister has already turned off my mood. You don't make it worse now." "Who said that I was going to talk about what just happened?" she asked. I looked at her and leaned back on the couch. She rolled her eyes and said, "Ok, fine! I was going to ask and I am still going to so you don't have an option but to answer me with the truth. What's going on? What did you do to my sister?"
