Avinash's P.O.V.

I reached my apartment and went inside. Sonia wasn't in the hall and I was guessing that she would be in the bedroom. I opened the door and peeped inside so see her taking some pills on the bed. I walked inside saying, "Hi!" She jumped and turned around hiding the tablets behind her. She smiled and said, "Hi! When did you come? I didn't even realise." I took out my jacket and acted normal saying, "I now came." She smiled nervously. "What were you doing?" I asked sitting on the bed. "Me? Uhh...nothing!" She said. I sighed and asked, "Can you bring me a glass of water?" "Sure," she said and got up. She left the room and went outside and I looked at the side table to see what tablets she was taking. There were none though. Seems like she took them with her. She came back with the water and handed it to me. Sitting next to me, she asked, "How did you take so long to reach back?" "I was with Ananya," I said and drank the water. I looked at her face turning red in anger. I rested the glass aside and said, "I have invited Deep sir and Arohi over for dinner this evening. Please make something nice for them." She smiled forcibly and asked, "And Ananya?" "She's angry with me," I said. "Why?" She asked. "She thinks that you get insecure when I'm with her," I said and observed her face. "Do you?" I asked. She looked at me and said, "No! Not at all! Why would I be insecure? Afterall, you're my husband. And just her friend." I smiled falsely and nodded. "Tonight you will confess everything. And I will make sure of it," I said in my mind. "I'll go and prepare for dinner," she said and got up. As soon as she left the room, I opened the drawers and tried to look for a second time for the tablets she was taking but there were no signs of any. I went to the kitchen and saw her preparing the food. I went and stood next to her and remained silent for a while as I just observed her. "Sonia," I said after a while, "What's the name of your medicines which you take for the tumour?"

She stopped chopping the vegetables and asked, "Why do you want to know that?" "I was wondering because I got to find out today that someone I know also has a same tumour. He can't afford the medicines so I was thinking that I would help him out. And looking at you, no one would say that you have a tumour," I said. She turned around taken aback with that. "I mean, because of the medicines of course. You look and behave absolutely fine," I said. She turned back and began cutting them again. "So tell me, what's the name of the medicine?" I said. "Actually, they are finished and I threw away the card so I don't have the name. It's too long to remember off hand," she said. I stepped up behind her and said sounding surprised, "Your medicines are finished and you didn't say anything? Why? Wait, I'll go and buy a new set right now. Where is your prescription?" She looked at me shocked and dumbfounded. "Tell me," I said. "It's...it's...ok Avinash...you don't need to buy any," she said. "Of course I need to. Tell me, I'll go and get it," I said and pretended to walk away but she held my hand back and said, "No! You don't have to." I turned back to her. "But why?" I asked. "Because...umm....uhhh...." she stammered looking around for an excuse. "Deep and Arohi are coming. How will it look if they come and you are not here?" She said. I sighed and dropped my shoulders saying, "They'll understand. Buying your medicines is more important than anything else." I looked away and my eyes caught something on the kitchen counter. There were a card of tablets on the counter. I picked it up and read the name behind asking, "What's this?" She grabbed it away from my hand and said nervously, "These are some of my energy tablets! I need them." These has to be the tablets she was taking inside the room. And the way she grabbed them from my hand, they don't seem like any energy tablet. Let's just confirm. "Then very good! You know, I have been feeling really drained for a while. Give me one. I'll feel better," I said and grabbed the card from her hand.

I was about to take out one when she took it back saying, "These are for women only. They won't do anything for you." I was correct. There is something behind why she is using these pills. I just need to know the reason. She held my shoulders and turned me around. Pushing me out of the kitchen, she said, "Now leave me alone. I have to cook." I went back to my room and took out my phone. I quickly searched the name of the tablet and saw that it was a tablet to control split personality disorder. I was stunned. Sonia suffers from split personality disorder? I quickly went to our group chat and sent, 'We need to carry out this plan quickly. I have some grave news. Sonia is suffering from split personality disorder. These kind of people can be very dangerous and violent. We must move with caution.' 'That's sick! I hope that tonight we are able to expose her,' Deep sir said. 'I hope so too,' Arohi replied. 'Let's not waste time. You guys come here quickly,' I said. 'Sure,' they both said.
