Deep's P.O.V.

I had now reached the hospital and was entering when I saw Avinash leaving in his car. I went inside and met Arohi in the corridor. She came running at me and hugged me tightly. She seemed very excited and happy. I hugged her back and said, "I know that you are happy for Ananya but this isn't a place to openly romance." She broke the hug and held my arms beaming in joy as she said, "I am so relieved and happy that Ananya can finally come back home." I cupped her face and said, "I am happy to see you so happy." She grinned. Uncle Navin came outside the room and I quickly stepped away from her and looked at him gulping my saliva awkwardly. He approached us and said, "I am going back home now. I have to do a lot of things for tomorrow. Avinash has called me so I am going." "That reminds me, Avinash left a while ago. He seemed a bit disturbed. Is everything alright?" I asked. I looked at Arohi frowning. "Everything's good. He must be disturbed about tomorrow. He's planning a surprise for Ananya tomorrow," Uncle Navin said. I smiled and he left us. I looked back with a frown to Arohi and asked, "What happened?" She lowered her eyes and said, "I don't believe Avinash has gone back to that woman. She doesn't seem right." "Did you tell him anything about Sonia?" I asked. "I had to," she said annoyed. "Even I don't like this Sonia. I don't trust her intentions," I said. "But I don't understand one thing," she said. "What is that?" I asked. "What happened in the past?" she asked. My heart sank hearing this thought. I looked at her dumbfound, unable to answer her question. "You know everything about Avinash, tell me please, what happened?" she asked. I looked at her with my hands sweating in nervousness. "I'll go and meet Ananya," I said. I left her there unanswered and went inside the room. "Hi!" I said stepping inside. She smiled at me and asked, "Where is Avinash?" I sighed and sat next to her saying, "Avinash! He had some work to do so he left." "He didn't even tell me he was leaving," she said. "Hmm...very bad. When I reach back, I will hold his ear and scold him," I said.

She smiled and said, "No need. He must be genuinely busy." "As you wish, your highness," I said bowing my head. She tapped my head playfully and I held it and rubbing it, I said, "Ouch!" Arohi came into the room smiling. I remembered her question from outside and frowned. How do I narrate what happened in the past? This fear of losing her is growing with my love for her. Ananya held my hand and asked, "Where are you lost?" I smiled and shook my head. "Ok now, you two go home. It's getting late. And the visiting hours are coming to an end," she said. "I'm not going home," Arohi said. "Arohi, go home. I am completely fine now. Go and prepare my room like a good girl for tomorrow," Ananya said. "But..." she complained but remained quiet with Ananya's stern eyes. "Fine," she said pouting. Ananya smiled and said, "Bye." I stood up and said, "Let's go." Arohi ran and hugged her. Breaking the hug, she said, "I'll wait for tomorrow to come." She kissed Ananya's forehead and smiled. She left the room with me and we walked through the corridor. I was feeling bad for not being able to reveal the truth to Arohi about Sonia. While walking, someone called out behind us and a nurse came running to us with an envelope. "I'm sorry. This is your blood test report," the nurse said. "My blood test report?" Arohi asked confused. "Yes, you gave your blood to be tested for a match, this is the report," the nurse said. "Oh! Thank you," Arohi said smiling. She took the report and we left. While driving in the car, I was lost in my own thoughts.

Arohi's P.O.V.

We were going home and I was holding the reports in my hand. I kept looking at the envelope and it felt compelling to open it and read it. I looked at Mafia and he drove silently. He was quite quiet since we left the room in the hospital. I held his arm and asked, "What's the matter?" He looked at me with a frown and said, "Nothing." I wasn't convinced. As we reached back the building and got out, we entered the elevator and he was still silent. I stopped the elevator and looked at him. I held his arms and turned him to me. "Deep, tell me, what's wrong?" I asked. He cupped my face and forced a smile and said, "Nothing my love. I am fine." Shaking my head, I said, "I don't believe this. Something's off." He pecked my hairline and said, "I'm fine. I am just very tired. I want to sleep." I nodded and started back the elevator. Reaching my floor, the elevator door opened and I closed it back pressing the button for his floor. He looked at me and asked, "Why did you do that?" "I am coming to tuck you in," I said smiling. The door opened and I held his hand and carried him to his apartment. I carried him and made him sit on his bed. I went to his closet and brought back a night suit for him. I rested it on the bed and said, "Change and I'll bring you dinner." I left and went outside but Uncle Zeeshan was nowhere in sight. I went to the kitchen and saw a plate of food covered down with a note stuck to it. It wrote, "I am at Navin's house preparing for tomorrow's surprise. Please eat and don't worry about me. I have already eaten. I will be home soon." So sweet was their relationship. I heated the food a bit and carried it back for Mafia but I was surprised seeing him unchanged in the same position I left him. I rested the food on the side table and went to him. I took up the suit and said, "Come on. Go and change or I'll do it." He had his earlier long face. I kneeled down in front of him and took off his blazer. I loosened his tie and took it off. He wasn't stopping me at all. Where was he lost? I unbuttoned the first two buttons of his shirt but still he remained the same. His condition was worrying now.
