Pulling my mac over my head, I turned to my boyfriend with a smile. "Come on, Lando," I wiggled my body as I shimmied into the coat. "We need to get going."
"Where?" He asked as he got to his feet and reached for his phone that was resting on the coffee table. "Seriously, Keziah, what's the plan?"
Putting my hair into a ponytail, I had a large grin on my face. "I thought we could try something... new." I turned away from him as I searched for my rain boots in the cupboard.
"Kez?" He walked up behind me putting a hand on my shoulder. "I can do something new, but's half nine in the evening and you're wearing comfy clothes and looking for-"
"Aha!" I announced as I cut him off brandishing my boots as I turned back to face him. "I found them."
Lando sighed, "I'm not going anywhere unless you tell me what is going on."
I pushed my feet into my boots as I shrugged my shoulders at me, "Your loss. I mean if you're not coming you better leave now and get back to your mates." My voice sounded playful as I told him, I smirked at him as I stood back up straight crossing my arms over my chest.
"Seriously, babe?" He whined as he grabbed his coat from the sofa. "I have work in the morning, you know I gotta be up early."
Walking closer to him, I stood on my tiptoes before I kissed him on the lips, just a small peck. "Tomorrow is only press day," I reminded him before I stepped back. "Come on, Lando. All I want to do it introduce you to the strange parts of my life."
"I'm all up for outdoor sex, Kez, but it looks like it might rain." He looked out the window as I shook my head at him keeping a smile on it at all times. "We don't need to go out to do that," he turned back and looked at me with raised eyebrows.
Laughing, I put my phone into my pocket before I grabbed my car keys from the sideboard. "Come on," I winked at him as I watched him putting his coat on. "I promise I'll make it up to you."
He was even more confused as he paused to look at me for a second before he zipped his coat then put his sneakers on, "This better be good. I also don't have any spare shoes, I don't want to ruin these." My eyes looked down to his expensive sneakers, I remember when he brought them, they cost too much. I bit my lip as I looked back up at his face, his eyes widened when he saw the look on my face. "Oh, come on, Kez. These are new."
"I know," I sighed as I looked around before heading back to my cupboard where I looked around before pulling out my brother's rain boots. "These are Dom's, you can borrow them."
Lando looked at the well used boots before he took them from me, "You owe me big, Kez."

Not telling him where we were going was hard. I didn't want to scare him off without him giving it a try.
When I parked the car up, I smiled as I saw the group waiting for us. "Lets go," I announced as I got out the car, Lando following as I approached my friends. "Hey guys," I smiled as I exchanged small hands slaps with the group of mismatched people.
Everyone greeted me in their own way before I introduced Lando, "This is Lando. He's joining us tonight." I looked at Lando with a grin, "This is Matt, Rain, Mercy, Ryan, Paul and Tiny."
Lando shook hands with everyone before Matt took the lead, "Looks like it's time to start." He headed into the wooded area, everyone following him leaving me and Lando following last.
"What is going on here?" He asked me as we linked our hands together.
I gently nudged his shoulder, "So, we're going squatching."
"Squatching?" He questioned me with a blank look on his face. "Sorry, what?"
My eyes looked over his face as he stopped, I stopped next to him and tried to work out what he was thinking. Jesus, did he think I was nuts? Was he regretting our relationship now?
Lando laughed, "Seriously, Kez? What is going on?"
I furrowed my eyebrows as I frowned, "I'm serious. This is something I do every now and again with my friends."
His smiled dropped, "Wait, what? You're having me on?" Then he changed when I didn't answer him, "This is crazy. Keziah, this isn't normal."
I took my hand out of his as I stared straight at him, "It's my normal. I just wanted to show you a little bit of my life." I took a deep breath as I kept my eyes on him, "You can go if you like."
Lando pinched the bridge of his nose as he closed his eyes for a moment.
I knew he was weighing up his options.
"I have to be up in the morning, Kez," he said when he opened his eyes and looked at me. "I'll call you tomorrow," he told me before he headed off back in the direction of my car.
"Wait!" I called after him, he stopped and turned to look back at me. "Here," I chucked him my car keys which he caught. "I'll come and get them tomorrow," I couldn't let him struggle to get a cab since we were in the middle of no where.
Lando looked at me, a sad look on his face before he stalked off away from me.
Taking a deep breath, I shook my head before I turned back to the forest. I was totally ready to get lost in here tonight.
