Chapter 50

The next day, Nicole was at working. Working the front.

A guy walked in and came up to the counter.

"Hey, welcome. What can I help you with?", Nicole asked.

"Yea. I was looking for a guy that goes by Jakobi", he said.

"Um I don't know anyone with that name", Nicole said. "Sorry"

"You sure about that?", he asked as he leaned on the counter.

"Sure about what?", Josh asked as he got to the front and walked pulled Nicole from behind the counter and got behind the counter.

"I was just asking this young lady if she's seen a particular person around here", the guy said as he stood up straight. "But I think I found someone even better"

Josh made a face.

"Deezy, right?", he asked.

"Nah man", Josh said.

"Yes you are", he said.

Josh looked at Nicole. "Why don't you work on the paperwork in the back", Josh said.

Nicole looked between the two then walked away.

"If you aren't here to get a car fixed then Imma ask you to leave", Josh said.

"If want your son alive, then Imma need you to shut up and listen OG", the guy said.

Josh made a face. "What are you talking about?", Josh asked.

"Jakobi has gotten into something he can't handle. We did him a favor and he's not returning his favor in full. He's stalling and boy do I hate a staller", the guy said. "Maybe you can help him and save his life...I mean no hard feelings right? You were in my position before"

Josh rolled his eyes as he wondered Jakobi got himself into.

"Come on, man. Maybe you'd have some fun. Bring back memories and you'll start making money again if you wanna go back to doing it on your own. You know more money than you're making here", the guy said. "I know you miss the bentleys, thousands of dollar jewelry and high end clothing"

Josh walked from behind the counter as he thought about his past. He was going to help Jakobi regardless.

"Okay how about this for some encouragement since you're still thinking...Your employee, the girl at the front desk...you know she can make me-"

Josh grabbed his neck and banged it against the counter. "She's off limits", Josh said.

"I knew it. She's your daughter", the guy said.

"Do you think this is a game? Do you think that I'm playing with you ?", Josh asked.

"I think I just found leverage", he said.

"I will kill you. Do you really wanna loose your life?", Josh asked.

Josh saw Nicole peaking from around the corner and once she saw him look at her she stopped peaking. Josh let go of the guy.

As he did that two people came in with guns pointing at Josh. Josh didn't really care, he was still pissed with the guy for putting Nicole's name in.

The guy stood up. "See you still working out", he said. "Still with that redbone? Oh and guys lower the guns"

The other guys put their guns down.

"What do you want?", Josh asked. "What do you need me to do, I'll do it myself"

"Ask your hardheaded ass son", the guy said. "I'm done talking"

The guy walked passed Josh and they all left.
