2014 

" You know I think the party is upstairs, " someone comments, I look to see Charlie standing at the bottom of the stairs. 

" Yeah I know, I needed some air, " I tell him, he walks over to me and sits by me. 

" So you came to this room? " He asks, I look over and chuckle. 

" Yup, just the music you know and everything. Kinda got loud, " I comment. 

" What's happening? " He asks. 

" Nothing, you know it's about to be 2015. It's a good time to spread love and happiness and be courageous, but here I am sitting on a couch at a party I don't want to be at, " I state. 

" Then why don't you leave? " He asks. 

" Because I'm here for you, I'm only in California for a few more days, and then I have to go to Missouri, " I comment. I look over at him, and he gives me a small smile. 

" Then let's go somewhere, " he comments standing up. 

" Charlie you need to be here, " I tell him. 

" No I don't, come one of my best friends is here. I think I can ditch a party to hang out with her, " he states. He reaches out my hand. 

" One of your best friends? I used to be Thomas' little sister, what changed? " I ask him. I place my hand into his, and he helps me stand up from the couch. 

" I never saw you as just Thomas' little sister, " he comments. I chuckle from his comment, and he gives me a shocked look. " I never saw you as just Thomas' little sister! " He states again. 

" Yes you did, when I was very little you totally did, you never answered my question. What changed? " I ask. Something in his eyes were off, he was thinking of what exactly he was going to say. " You don't actually have to answer if you don't want to, I don't ca-" I was cutoff by his lips, which I was caught off guard at first. But quickly after a second or maybe two I begin to kiss back. His hands moved to my back, and my arms wrapped around his neck. He leads me towards the wall, and places me there and we begin to kiss more intensely. 

What caused us to move back from each other is the loudness of some people coming down the stairs. " There you are! " One of my best friends Rae with a few other people. 

" Hey Charlie, " Rae adds. 

" Hey Rae, " he comments. He looks at me and gives me a grin. 

" I should you know go, " I tell him. 

" Yeah totally, I'll see you later, " he tells me. I give him a nod. I was walking away, and as I was walking up the stairs I was looking at him. 

Rae asks something, and I didn't hear what she said. " What? " I ask turning to her. 

" I totally did, " she says chuckling. 

" Totally did what? " I ask her. 

" Don't worry about it, " she comments. I give her a nod. 

Later that night.... 

I decided to head home, and I got up to get my things. I did drive so it will be fine, just hoping I can get home at a decent hour. " Yo, Y/n wait up! " Charlie says running up from behind me. " You trying to leave without me? " He asks. I smile a little bit. 

" No, I just thought you wouldn't want to leave, " I comment. 

" I'll go with you, " he states. 

We get into my car, and we begin to drive. And we were talking all throughout the ride. And it wasn't awkward, I think he forgot about the kiss. We found a cliff, and I parked the car. " You always find the best places, " he chuckles getting out of the car.
