94 - Jonah Marais ( Why Don't We )

" No one's around, " he whispers to me, which instantly got me to turn around. " Can I have that kiss? " He asks. 

" Jonah... anyone could walk in, " I whisper to him, he just smiles and leans in and kisses me.

We've been secretly dating for nearly a year now, which is insane to me. He's the best thing to ever happen to me. I am currently working on trying to write a new song, I wasn't really paying attention. What caught me off guard was a set of hands wrapping around my waist. " May I help you? " I ask him, he turns me around and picks me up. 

" Jo, I really have to work on writing this song, that I seem to have no idea what to write, " I comment. He knows with me trying to write an album I get highly stressed. 

" Okay... why don't we take a five minute break? " He asks, I slowly nod towards him. He pulls me closer to him, and places me on the bed. " You're doing amazing you know that right? " He asks. I hum towards him, I didn't realize how tired I was until I laid down. 

" I just don't want it to be bad, there's going to be 15 songs on the album. Which is the most I have ever written, and half of them are a surprise to many, and- " he cuts me off. " It will be great, no matter what, it is going to be great, " he tells me. I give him a nod. 

" I love you Jonah, " I chuckle, which causes him to smile as well. 

" I love you too, Y/n, " he whispers to me. He quickly fell asleep, because he has been working harder than me, with everything going on in his life. And I just started writing, writing what was in my heart.

That's what I came up with, just as I watch him sleep soundly. He's the best man someone could ask for, and a lot of my songs lately have been inspired by him. 

He's the light in the storm, the shine in the dark. 

He's the best thing to ever happen to me, and why we haven't told the fans is because of the hate I would get. There are a lot of fans who believe I am just using the boys, which is not true at all. And him and I will eventually make it public, he's thinking maybe doing it on our 1 year anniversary which I do think would be sweet. But I truly don't know, I'm not having doubts about the relationship I'm just scared that the fans will be overly terrible towards me. 

Before we started dating in 2017 a video came out of us two hardcore flirting, and I kissed him in this video. And the fans flipped out, some in a good way, and others in a bad way. The hate I got right after that scared me greatly. Jonah was right there by my side, and it wasn't until 2020 that we finally accepted those feelings fully and started dating. 

I'm just glad I have him. What I didn't realize was what was about to happen. 

Jonah's P.O.V. 

" Jonah, you might want to see this, " Daniel tells me, I walk over to him and he shows me his phone. It's a fan YouTube account, and the title is... proof Y/n Y/l/n and Jonah Marais are dating and more info...  

" It's a 25 minute video, why are people so against her and I being together? " I ask him annoyed, he plays the video and it starts. 

" Hey guys it's me again Clove, since the video of Y/n and Jonah kissing in 2017 many think that they were in a relationship, many thinking that they're in a friends with benefits. It's a lot I will tell you, I will be trying to stay bias throughout this video and just giving you facts. I was dm'd by a fan the other day, and she mentioned to me many things implying that Y/n and Jonah are together. I have Rue with me who is for them dating, Willow who is against, and I am staying neutral, " she says. " Willow you start, " she adds.
