87 - Oliver Wood ( Harry Potter )

To say my parents were happy when I was placed in Gryffindor, would actually be surprising. Now I was surprised that they didn't disown me. Yes, yes I was completely surprised. My dad was a little disappointed, but my mom she was happy I guess. I don't think she wants me to go down the same path she was forced to go on. She's all about me marrying for love, and going with my gut. Which would really disappoint my father and brother. 

Oliver Wood is someone I care about deeply, can I fully express that? No, no I can't. Because he's Oliver Wood captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, my brother's enemy. The guy I'm technically in love with. Him and I have had some moments between each other. But for a long time he didn't really acknowledge me because I was Marcus' sister. 

" Wood! " Everyone else quickly walked away from me walking towards them. It's known I have a very bad temper. And you do not want to be in the line of fire. 

" What do you want? " He asks rudely. 

" I want to know what your problem is with me, " I tell him, he scoffs and I shove him lightly. Which causes him to grab a hold of me. 

" Do not shove me, " he states. 

" Then don't hate me for no apparent reason, " I snap back. 

" You're a Flint, I have every reason to hate you, " he states, I grab a hold of him shoving him into the wall. 

" You hate me cause I'm a Flint? I was put in Gryffindor for a reason, I am not some spy for Slytherin, and I certainly am not some spy for my brother! " I yell at him. 

" Really how do I know that? We all know that a pretty girl like you have your ways with words! So you could be lying to us all, " he snaps back. 

" Ohh... you hate me cause you're attracted to me, got it, " I comment scoffing in the process. I grab a hold of me pulling me closer to him. 

" I am not attracted to you, God you're so bratty all the time not everyone is obes- " I cut him off by slamming my lips onto his. Which he quickly kissed me back, and that evolved into a make out between the two of us. I pull away and start chuckling. 

" Sure you're not, "  I comment before walking away from him. 

That's how everything between the two of us started happening. We met in secret, and slowly started falling for each other. Many Gryffindors knew, we were always civil but there were a lot of fights. And there still was, not as intense but there still were. 

Marcus didn't know, he would kill him and me if he did. They never got along, I mean they are both captains of different teams. And here I was falling for him. I have been running late, and I'm missing the match. What I didn't expect was Oliver being knocked off his broom. And my heart immediately stopped, Hagrid was the one who saw me collapse. And immediately ran to my assistance. 

Oliver's P.O.V. 

I quickly get up, and the team is right by my side. " Did we win? " I ask, all of them put their heads down. " What? " I ask them, the twins move and I see Y/n laying next to me. " What happened? " I ask, heavily confused of seeing her there. 

" We're not sure, Madam Pomfrey is still trying to figure out why. Hagrid said he saw her collapse, and hit her head. We're not sure why she collapsed, " Fred tells me, I nod my head. 

" Sh was running late right? " Hermione asks, Ron nods towards her. " She might have walked in on Oliver getting hit, " she adds. 

" Guys, why don't we give him some space, " Angelina comments, grabbing everybody and moving them away from me. I just kept watching her, I get out of my bed going over to her and grabbing a hold of her hand. 

" Hey... " I whisper, not truly knowing if I will get a response or not. 

" She hasn't woken, " Madam Pomfrey comments, I give her a nod. I go back to my bed and try to sleep. But my head is just rushing with thoughts about Y/n. 

I watch as Flint runs into the hospital wing, as much as he is a bad person. He does truly love and care about her. " You're going to be okay... I wrote to mum and dad, dad is dad. But mum said she'll send a treat, " he whispers. 

" Marcus, she will be fine. We just have to wait until she wakes up, " Madam Pomfrey says. 

" Do we know why? " He asks. 

" No... all I know is Hagrid said she collapsed, but she will be okay, " she tells him. 

She's a really good nurse, especially for when it comes to siblings and them wanting their siblings to be okay. " Why don't you go and get some rest Marcus, it might help you a little bit, " she tells him, he didn't even acknowledge my existent. I think he's more worried about her than anything right now. 

He walked out and I was left there alone with her. I wasn't going to talk to her, but I was worried about her. I always have cared about her, and always will care about her. Even when she is a Flint, I will always care about her. 

And no matter what anyone says, I will always love her. And someday she will be the person I end up marrying. No matter how long it takes, she will be my wife someday. 

It's been a few days now, and she's still asleep. Everyone is beyond worried, and Madam Pomfrey is just utterly confused. She's never seen something like this. Professor McGonagall has called all of us in to talk to us. " We're here to talk about Miss Y/n Flint, as all of you know she's been in the hospital wing for the past few days... " she begins, my brain hasn't been focusing. I've been overly worried about Y/n. 

" Do we know what's wrong? " Fred asks.

" We didn't for a long time, but we just figured it out, " she states, that pulled everyone's attention. 

" I'll be fine, if you're wondering, " I turn around to see Y/n walking in, and I instantly run over to her and hug her tightly. Which she quickly hugs me back. 

" I missed you, " I whisper to her, which causes just chuckles. 

" So I've been told, my brother told me you visited me a lot, " she comments, which causes me to chuckle. 

" She's made a full recovery, but we're asking all of you guys. To be a little gentle with her until she's fully back to herself, " McGonagall states, we all agree. 

It's the end of the night and I'm outside just taking a breather. " You alright? " I turn to see Y/n standing there. 

" I should be asking you that, " I tell her, which causes her to smile. She sits down next to me and puts her head on my shoulder. " But truly, I'm just happy you're okay, I've been so worried, " he adds. She picks her head up and leans in and kisses me. And I quickly kiss her back. 

" Just admit your feelings for me already Wood, " she chuckles, which causes me to smile. 

" I like you, " I tell her, which causes her to smile. 

" I like you too Oliver, " she chuckles. 

That was the start of it all, and I will tell you something. She did become my wife eventually, we got married 2 years after the Battle. She almost died, saved Fred's life. The Weasley family are forever grateful for saving his life. And we just brought into the world our first child. His name is Nathaniel Wood, Marcus and I don't always see eye to eye. But he's happy that she's happy.
