Chapter 9- I finally leveled up?!
Under the gazes of disbelief from the crowd, Wen Jiexi wiped the light sweat on her forehead, celebrating the mechanical voice in her ear.

「Congratulations on your promotion.」

“Wagagaga! We did it!” Dango floated happily in the air, his round body trembling with joy….

Alright, calm down, we can look at the results when we get back to the dorms. Wen Jiexi helplessly tried to calm down Dango. On the inside she was also happy, however although no one could see Dango, they could still see her!

“Huhuhu…..” Li Lingmeng ran at the front of the pack of girls and stopped next to Wen Jiexi, panting and her hands on her knees.

“Here, drink some water.” Wen Jiexi passed her a water bottle.

“Ah, thanks!” Li Lingmeng didn’t bother with being polite and took the bottle directly. Her voice was scratchy and she didn’t care that she looked like a sweaty miss. Who cares about image anyways?

After drinking half of the bottle in one gulp,  she felt better and then patted Wen Jiexi’s shoulder.

“Little Xi, you really surprised everyone! Seeing your speed just now, I think you’ll be a good match for the track and field team! You should join them!” Saying so, she held up a quick thumbs up in admiration. One must know that although she was running like she was about to die, Wen Jiexi had easily surpassed her.

“I haven’t considered that yet.” Wen Jiexi fiddled with her hair. Although everyone going in college came here to join clubs and play in them, she felt like doing missions were more important. Unless maybe it’s the fitness club, but even then she felt it wasn’t quite right for her to join.

Putting the cap back on the bottle, Li Lingmeng suddenly felt a dozen fiery gazes looking their way. Glancing around, all of them were looking at Wen Jiexi. Some were quite obvious, others held ambiguous meaning behind their gazes. She took a closer look at Wen Jiexi as well. Previously, although Wen Jiexi was still quite beautiful, she had this sickly atmosphere around her. Now that she has recovered, she seems more energetic, but not overboard. Her bright figure was quite pleasing to the eyes, pity that the person in question didn’t realize it….

“Little Xi, let’s go back and freshen up first. We’re done here anyways.” Brushing away the hair sticking to her face, Li Lingmeng felt uncomfortable from all the sweat. She wanted to go back quickly and take a shower. Wen Jiexi nodded and together they quickly walked to the dorms.

The physical education teacher had recorded the times of everyone who ran, and wanted to talk to Wen Jiexi. However, the person had already left and the crowd of people also left. Grabbing an unlucky passerby, she asked where they went and learned they had gone back to the dorms. Feeling somewhat distressed as she looked at the results, she decided to talk with the department’s head. Anyhow, she was only responsible for the records, everything else can be left to the head to decide.

After returning to the dorms, Wen Jiexi let Li Lingmeng take a shower first. Seeing her sorry figure, it was natural to let Li Lingmeng go first anyways.

Only when she heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom, did Wen Jiexi let down her guard. Dango had already urged her to do tens of thousands of times, and so helplessly flicking Dango’s head she swiped open the task panel with Dango howling in the background.

There had been no actual difference in terms of layout except for the number 0 next to the word ‘level’ had changed into 1. Furthermore, the number of points in the progress bar had been reset to (0/200). So it seems she had to do 200 missions to get to level 2.
