'Er –,' said Kirra trying to put on an innocent face as she guess what to say, 'a dark shape ... um ...'

'What does it resemble?' whispered Professor Trelawney. 'Think, now ...'

Kirra cast her mind around and it landed on Buckbeak.

'A Hippogriff,' she said firmly.

'Indeed! So did your brother' whispered Professor Trelawney, scribbling keenly on the parchment perched upon her knees. 'My girl, you may well be seeing the outcome of poor Hagrid's trouble with the Ministry of Magic! Look closer ... does the Hippogriff appear to ... have its head?'

'Yes,' said Harry firmly as she pretended to actually care about the subject

'Are you sure?' Professor Trelawney urged her. 'Are you quite sure, dear? You don't see it writhing on the ground, perhaps, and a shadowy figure raising an axe behind it?'

'No! Merlin, how morbid can you be' said Kirra, starting to feel slightly sick but the teacher didn't seem to care, nor did she care about what the girl had said.

'No blood? No weeping Hagrid?'

'No!' said Kirra again, wanting more than ever to leave the room and the heat and go and find Mattheo. 'It looks fine, it's – flying away ...' Professor Trelawney sighed.

'Well, dear, I think we'll leave it there ... a little disappointing ... but I'm sure you did your best.' Trelawney said with a sigh

'And I'm sure you did your best too Professor, and your 'best efforts' are the reason that my best friends were murdered!" Kirra growled to the teacher who looked at her with wide eyes

'Th-thats impossible, you don't know what you are talking about... your friends are all alive" Trelawney says quickly, slightly shaking as she looked at the Hufflepuff who stood up angrily from her chair and glared down at the woman

"You and Dumbledore are part of the reason that they are dead, and I will never forget that" Kirra seethed

"Kir-"

"My name isn't Kirra," the Hufflepuff seethed, "I swear to god, the next time you or Dumbledore get someone I care about killed, I will kill you myself" she growled

"You have changed" Sybil trembled as she looked at her, "the gods chose you... they chose you to be the one to save the wizarding world..."

"Yeah well they made the wrong choice, because I'm tired of losing the people that I love and i am prepared to destroy anything and anyone who try to hurt the people I care about, pick up a book Trelawney or stare into those stupid glass spheres of yours... the chosen one always loses. They lose everything, so I'm done being the stupid chosen one" The Hufflepuff whispered to her teacher, tears falling down her face

"You cant just make that decision for yourself, you are young... but you will grow to save the world, you will feel the weight of the world on your shoulders and you will feel pain unimaginable to anybody else,"

"I have lost everything to me over the past decades, I cant go through that again... I won't, I cant lose anyone else," She choked out

"Dear child, I understand but it was the fate that was bestowed upon you. I know it will happen again, bu-"

"Nobody gets to decide my fate but me." Kirra said and grabbed her stuff and left the classroom, storming out, leaving the teacher behind as she wiped the tears from her face

Kirra met up with the Gryffindor trio and they went down to dinner with everybody else, but did not return to their common rooms afterwards. Harry had the Cloak hidden down the front of his robes; he had to keep his arms folded to hide the lump while Kirra had hers shoved in her bag on the side of her body.
