𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝟑𝟎 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟕

chenle and renjun were on their way to the great hall for dinner when donghyuck went rushing past them. they watched him do a double-take then run back towards them, almost tripping on his own feet.

"you two!"

"our names are renjun and chenle, but yes?" renjun replied as the slytherin placed his hands on his knees, panting.

"where's yunhee?"

"still in the hufflepuff common room i think. why?" chenle asked, but donghyuck was gone in a second, on his way to the common room.

just as he made it to the door, yunhee appeared by the kitchen entrance that was nearby. she was holding a plastic bag of different cookies and had one small chocolate chip cookie between her teeth.

"hey, donghyuck." she said, forgetting about the cookie in her mouth so it fell out. "oh no."

"yunhee!" he exclaimed, placing his hands on her shoulders. "i'm begging you please find jisung!"

"what? why? what's wrong?" she asked, a sick feeling overwhelming her.

"i..." he trailed off. "i don't know exactly, but something bad is going to happen to him in exactly one month from now and i'm worried for him. he's not in a good place and i haven't been able to find him. please help me. i'm so scared for him."

if this was his first or second year, acting like this would be embarrassing for donghyuck. the way he'd throw away his pride to go begging to a muggle-born. but he had matured. he didn't care now. he only cared about his friend who he hadn't seen in a week. he was truly frightened.

"okay, hyuck. calm down. calm down." yunhee told him, rubbing his arms despite her fast-beating heart and her increasing anxiety. "i got this. i'll find him."

"yunhee? donghyuck?"

"jeno, stay with donghyuck. i need to find jisung." yunhee said, softly pushing the slytherin, and the bag of cookies, towards jeno who had just left the common room.

she quickly disappeared to find jisung and the first place she looked for was the room of requirements. jisung had been there in her dreams so it was possible he was still there. however, she couldn't find it. from what she could remember the room of requirements only appeared when a person is in great need of it, so it should have appeared, but maybe she didn't will it enough or maybe someone else needed it even more.

yunhee was starting to lose hope of finding jisung. she searched all the classrooms and hallways and there was only one more left: the seventh-floor corridor leading to the north tower. it was usually an empty area because it was so far away from the main areas of the castle.

exhausted, yunhee made it up to the seventh-floor and walked, slowly, through the corridors. there, she found jisung in one of the empty corridors, his back facing her. she could hear sniffles echoing throughout.

"ji..." she called, tapping his shoulder. he flinched and quickly got up, roughly wiping at his face.

"oh... yunhee. uh... i need to get back to my common room." he said, walking away before she even had the chance to say anything else.
