new arrival

India's first audition

" so are you going to audition" Natalie asked India while she filled her plate with unhealthy food and placed it on her tray

" audition for what?"

The two girls made there way towards a table and set there lunch down and sat opposite each other

" for the school choir they are holding auditions after school and it will be fun im going to try a become a member"

" well im not a great singer"

" I don't believe you are bound to be able to sing"

" well im an ok singer but  don't like singing in front of anyone. no one in my family knows I can sing"

" why don't they know" Natalie asked putting a forkful of mashed potatoe into her mouth

" well my dad is John Lennon and my uncles are Paul McCartney and George Harrison and ringo starr and i am way to scared to sing in front of them as they are so talented and I would be awful in comparison and  if I told anyone I sing then they would get me to sing in front of them all and I am way to scared to sing in public"

" well then this  audition for the school choir is a great way to build your confidence"

" I cant do it uncle George is collecting me from school today and I don't think he would wait for me"

" he wont leave you behind no your doing it I don't wanna go on my own"

" fine but im telling you I wont be picked"

" great meet me outside the gym hall at half three "

India stood outside the gym hall her nerves were ging crazy and she felt so sick she felt like she was going to pass out"

" yeah you came I was so scared you were going to bail on me" natalie said grabbing Indias hand and dragging her into the hall

" I still might bail" she giggled

the 2 girls sat patiently watching the others stand up and sing and some people were told straight away they got threw and some were told they never made it. India felt like she was going to cry she was that scared and her heart went crazy when the choir  instructor yelled out natalies name

" good luck"

Natalie made her way to the middle of the room and after answering a few questions she began to sing a song by the beach boys and she was amazing this was the first time she has ever heard her sing and her voice was beautiful. Once she had finished the teachers told her that she had made it into the choir and natalie cheered and ran over to india and pulled her into a hug

" well done you sounded beautiful"

" India Lennon you are next can you come and stand in the middle of the room please" the teacher asked

" you can do this you will rock it I know you will"

India slowly walked over to the spot that Natalie had just left and she was surprised her legs were able to carry her as they were shaking so much. She looked at the teachers and she saw them whispering and she knew they were commenting about how she was the daughter of John lennon and that they were probably expecting so much from her     

" thank you for coming to audition for us" a kind lady said making India relax a little

" and what are you going to sing" an elderly looking man said sternly and india thought he definitely wasn't a beatles fan.

" im going to sing you got to hide your love away"

" a song by your father that is sweet" the kind lady cooed
