what Grandad?

India was sat in her English class when her headmaster entered the room disrupting the lesson

"India can you come with me please" he asked

India looked up suddenly feeling nervous she knew she had done nothing wrong so she was wondering what he wanted with her. the whole class started to make ooooooohing noises resulting in the teacher shouting at them to be quiet

Once they had entered the hallway the headmaster said " india your grandfather is here to see you"

India was even more confused her granda powell died before she was born so she did not know how her granddad could be here

" uhm sir my granddad died before I was born so my granddad could not be here"

" your granddad Alf Lennon is here" he said not wanting to waste anymore of his time

India walked her head in a daze her father very little of his dad just to tell her that he had abanded him when he was a child and he has never seen him since he once recalled his father once his mother and father were divorcing that his dad asked him to choose who he wanted to live with and he said daddy then once he ssa his mother leave he panicked and changed his mind and ran to his mother and that was the last time he saw his dad 

India walked into the room and then came face to face with a well built man with grey hair slicked pack with what India thought was a full tub of grease and he had his front teeth missing but he looked a bit like daddy though she knew her daddy was a lot better looking

" oh my gosh you look just like Julia" Alf said bending his old body down so he could get closer to india to examine her features more

" you deffo have her eyes and her complexion and your as beautiful as she was" he said straightening back up

India said nothing she harboured resentment towards this man who abandoned her daddy and made him so upset

"so aren't you going to give your old granddad a hug?"

" aren't  you going to  see daddy you know your son that you abandoned so many years ago"

" and your as feisty as your granny Julia"

" I am just like my daddy if you knew him you would know that"

"your to little to understand these things"

" understand you asked a 4 year old child to pick between his mother and his father not old enough to know you left and never returned that you abandoned my daddy and made him sad"

" I thought it was for the best I didn't think I could offer him anything back then"

" what can you offer him now"

" well I'm down on my luck so I cant offer him much"

" so its a case of what he can offer you. now he is famous has money and he is comfortable in life you reappear."

" Gosh your a smart one but your wrong I'm old now I have had a change to look back at my life and see my mistakes and I want to fix them before time is to late and I'm gone."

" I think you are already to late daddy does not need you he has me I'm all he needs and you need to go"

" wouldn't you like to have a granddad "

" no I wouldn't "

" well I want to meet my son and I want to put things right and  I'm going to make things good again"

" I don't see how. my daddy is stubborn when people hurt him they often stay where they belong in the past and that's  where you belong"

" you hate me also little un"

" If you hurt my daddy then yes I hate you. "

" I promise I wont hurt your daddy again ill make him better trust me"

" I don't trust you and daddy wont like it that your here with me"

" what are you doing here and why are you talking to my daughter " Johns voice boomed threw the tiny room after all  these years father and son were in the same room again.
