will she finally like her sister

Once the party had finished and everyone left myself and John just collapsed onto the sofa as we were exhausted

"john i really enjoyed the party thank you so much for organizing it. it was nice to be able to just show off Hollie like that and people were so kind with the presents they brought for her"

" no problem sweetheart in glad you enjoyed it" John said sounding lost in his own thoughts 

" you ok your in your own world again"

"just worrying about India as normal she ignored me today then would not let me put her to sleep or read her a story she had Paul do it. she has never fell out with me for this long she normally can only last 10 minutes without talking to me "

" she had people around her today that gave her non stop attention so she stayed with them you no she is a drama queen she loves attention and playing to a audience abit like her father does tomorrow when its just us will be different"

India woke up the next morning clutching her teddy bear

" good morning teddy will we go and get breakfast  "

India held teddy and went down the stairs where John was sat feeding Hollie

" good morning princess good morning Teddy" John said smiling at her

" morning" she said giving Hollie a weird look

India walked into the kitchen to find it empty normally mummy or Dot was there to make her breakfast. Though India thought she could be a big girl today and get it herself.

She pulled the chair away from the table and pulled it in front of the cupboard where her Minnie Mouse bowl was kept and she climbed onto the chair and got her bowl and set it onto the counter top. then climbed down onto the chair then jumped onto the floor then moved the chair to where her cereal was kept and she climbed onto the chair then onto the counter top and opened the cupboard then she tried to reach the cereal but they ended up falling and she tried to catch them but then she fell from the counter onto the floor landing with a thud followed by her loud screaming

Hearing a loud thud followed by India's screaming John quickly put Hollie into her moses basket and ran into the kitchen to see India laying on the floor surrounded by cereal

" oh my god India are you ok what happened" John said his voice frantic as he ran towards his daughter

" i tried to get my breakfast but i was too little and could not reach then i fell from the counter" she said between sobs

" do you hurt anywhere India"

"  only my elbows they hurting"

John looked at her elbows to see they were all scrapped and sore looking. John picked India up and set her on the chair

" im sorry i made a mess daddy"

' do not worry about the mess but why did you try and make your own breakfast for" he said while cleaning up her elbows

" because mummy and Dot was not here and my belly was hungry so i tried to be a big girl like mummy is and make my own but im still to little" she said sadly

" why did you not ask me for" he asked putting some plasters on her cuts

" you were with her so i knew you were to busy for me" she answered her head facing the ground

" India just because we now have Hollie does not mean we don't need you we love you just the same as before we had Hollie actually we love you more now. You are my princess and always will be"

" but Hollie will be your new princess now"

" no she wont be the princess role has already been filled by you im still your daddy and i know that we have been abit busy looking after Hollie as she requires alot of looking after and i know i haven't been able to spend as much time with you as i would like to but maybe you and me can help look after Hollie until your mum wakes up then we can go Visit Minnie Mouse who i hear is at our town today again"

"really i can see Minnie'

" yes just me and you but we have to look after Hollie first is that ok do you want to"

" ok i guess so"

" just think when she starts to get abit bigger you can show her Minnie Mouse as well and you will have some one else to play save the princess with"

" i could dress her up as a dragon and you could save me daddy"

" yes we could do that once she gets older just don't tell your mum we want to dress her up as a dragon" he laughed

John brought India into the living room and told her to sit down

" would you like to hold her for the first time"

India looked up at her daddy unsure

" ok it sounds fun"

John picked up Hollie and carefully placed her into India's tiny arms

" aw she is tiny daddy she is like Tinkerbell"

" yeah she is. so do you like her now"

" she ain't so bad i guess"

Cynthia walked down the stairs and into the living room and could not believe her eyes she saw her daughter finally holding her little sister and she saw India lean down and give her a kiss on the head. she made eye contact with John and he winked at her

" i like having a sister and i cant wait to we turn her into a evil dragon" India laughed

" john" Cynthia shouted
