About two days passed since the incident and Valerie was looking forward to her date with a Brian tonight.

This would be her first date since Spencer and so she felt a little awkward. Thankfully she had Mia, Alex and Letty's help.

Before that though she worked in the garage since Alex was at school and Brian worked on his car with Dom.

She noticed something was off with Brian so she walked over and rubbed his back making him turn to her.

"Hey" he smiled

"Hey back." Val said giving him a kiss.

"You got big plans tonight?" Dom asked and Valerie saw he was going into protective brother mode

"Yeah. We're going out to dinner." Brian answered

"You break her heart, I'll break your neck." He threatened and Valerie rolled her eyes at her brothers comment.

"That's not gonna happen." Brian reassured and kissed Valerie again.

"I want to show you something." He said and the three went to the secret shed next to the house.

Valerie loved that place because of the history behind it. She had so many fond memories of her, Dom, and his dad working on cars together.

She hoped she would have that with her, Alex, and Spencer but things didn't go as planned.
Dom took the covering off of his Charger making Brian's eyes widen

"Me, Val and my dad built her. Nine hundred horses of Detroit muscle. It's a beast."

"You know what she ran in Palmdale?" Val asked

"No. What?"

"Nine seconds flat."

"God." Brian breathed in serious awe of the car

"My dad was driving. So much torque, the chassis twisted coming off the line. Barely kept her on the track."

"So, what's your best time?"

"We've never driven her."

"Why not?"

"It scares the shit out of me." Dom said and Valerie nodded in agreement. That car had too much history. Mia was right it was like a curse.
