Valerie sat down in the living room of Mia house and took Dom's jacket off revealing the bullet wound.
"Don't give me that look." Valerie said and Brian just sighed in response
"You know why I'm giving it."
"And you know I hate it."
Mia walked down the stairs holding the first aid kit. Mia had graduated from medical school and in this family her being a nurse was probably the best thing she could be.
"ls this your way of keeping me away from my brother?" Mia asked and looked at her sister
"Why am I not even surprised."
"Hey, sis." Valerie said giving a smile. She could see Mia was pissed.
"You're the only one l could call." Brian said
"Their my family, of course." She said and looked at her wound
"The bullet's not in there. l'm gonna clean it and stitch it up. it's going to hurt."
"Joyful." Valerie muttered
Brian moved to sit next to her and held Valerie's hand. He expected her to shove it away but instead she held it tightly.
Brian knew Valerie would never admit that she was in pain, that was just not how she was so he kept quiet and just gave her his hand as comfort.
"l bet you're going to enjoy this."
"A little." Mai smiled and finished up. The front door opened making the four give each other confused looks.
