Alex really should have trusted her gut. She knew something felt off but she still went on the job. Now her family was on the run...again. Alex had gotten used to being free but now here they were. Izzy held her hand tightly to try and give her some comfort.
She felt her phone go off and frowned seeing it was a unknown caller.
"Hello?"
"Hey Lovebug"
"Hattie?" Alex said making Brian and Izzy raise an eyebrow
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine, did my mom call you?"
"Yes, I only have a few minutes but hand the phone to Brian"
Alex did as asked and Brian looked at her confused.
"Yeah?"
"Valerie told me to tell you to meet her at Safe Haven" Hattie said hoping Brian knew what that meant. He did and nodded.
"She did? Is she okay?"
"She's fine more worried about you actually." She said and Brian gave a small smile. Of course Valerie cared more about the rest of the family over her.
"Thank you"
"Of course, I have to go. I can only hack the systems for so long"
"Be careful"
"You too" she said and hung up.
Brian sighed and handed the phone back to Alex. He hated not being with Valerie or their kids. He couldn't even find out if they were safe. All he could do was have faith but that wasn't something Brian was good at. He didn't have that blind faith Valerie had. Night had fallen and the team snuck into a building. Ramsey and Tej began to hack a computer.
