3rd Person POV

RWBY Dorm

Shaking his head, Sincline yawned and rubbed his eyes with the back of one hand. Feeling a light, soft pressure on his chest, he looked down and found Ruby curled into his side, her head resting over his heart. Smiling, Sincline gently placed a hand against her side and leaned his head against the pillow....

"What are you two doing?"

Sincline froze, and Ruby, who was evidently awake, jerked in alarm, both anticipating the worst... only to relax as Weiss fought back a giggle.

"Relax, Yang isn't here right now," she assured. "She's downstairs making the final preparations for the dance."

Sincline tilted his head, about to ask why she wasn't with Yang, but Weiss was already ahead of him.

"She kicked me out, saying that I'll make it 'too uptight,'" the Heiress explained, making quotes with her fingers and scoffing.

The two relaxed... something that didn't go unnoticed by Blake, who was lying down on her bunk with a book in hand. "Where were you two last night?" the black-haired Faunus asked curiously.

Ruby blinked at her in surprise. "Wait. When did you get here?"

"Last night," Blake replied, closing her book with a snap. "Well?"

Sincline and Ruby glanced at each other before blushing and avoiding each other's gaze.

Weiss's jaw dropped. "You two didn't..."

Sincline tilted his head. "Didn't do what?" he asked curiously.

"Never mind," Blake said hurriedly, blushing and not meeting any of their gazes.

"Okay...." Deciding to shove this into his 'weird things about Blake' file (it was one of the biggest ones he had) Sincline looked back toward Weiss as she gave him an expectant look. "Well?"

"What?" Sincline asked.

"Did you tell her?" Weiss gestured to Ruby, and Sincline nodded, catching onto her meaning.

Sighing, Blake held out a hand and passed Weiss a wad of Lien, which the Heiress pocketed with a triumphant grin.

"Wait, you bet on us?" Ruby exclaimed, glancing at her partner, betrayed.

Weiss just shrugged. "Blake bet that you two wouldn't get together until after the dance. I bet that you would before."

"That's why you were helping so much," Sincline realized. He wasn't sure if he should be mad, or happy because of the way things turned out between him and Ruby.

Weiss shrugged. "Well, you two were already in love with each other, so there wasn't much for me to do anyway."

"However, you two are going to have a problem if you're dating," Blake pointed out, almost hesitant to deliver the apocalyptic news.

"Yeah, we know," Ruby said, taking Sincline's hand in hers and squeezing it gently. "But we can handle Yang."

"You might get off because you're her sister," Weiss pointed out. "But for Sincline...."

"Can I go back to being trapped in the Field?" Sincline requested. "Please? That would be much better than having my face broken."

"It probably would be," Blake agreed. "However, when she tries to kill you, and she will, don't warp away. It'll only make her angrier."
