We hop on his bike and drive to the museum. I get us in through the back dock and we grab our old uniforms. I really missed my old vibranium catsuit. I even have my helmet and mask back. In the pockets I find my batons and my dog tags. Something I didn't expect to find is Bucky's dog tags along with our rings. I forgot I had put them in here before the jump all those years ago. We leave, and I put on the rings and tags before putting on the suit, mask, and gloves. We begin our walk through the forest, and I will meet up with Nat at the helicopter later.
"Attention all SHIELD agents, this is Steve Rogers. You've heard a lot about me over the last few days. Some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. But I think it's time you know the truth. SHIELD is not what we thought it was. It's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The STRIKE and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want. Absolute control. They shot Elizabeth Jones. And it won't end there. If you launch those helicarriers today HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way. Unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot. But the price of freedom is high. It always has been. And it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not."
"Did you write that down first, or was it off the top of your head?"
"Sammy, anytime he gives a speech you can assume that I'm in his head helping make sure it comes out right, but yes, it's off the top of our heads. I also couldn't speak cause then they'd know I'm alive. Now, I gotta scoot!" I exclaim as I go invisible, and Sam nearly has a conniption.
"Since when could she do that!?"
Steve just chuckles. I start making my way up to the top floor as Rumlow gets the ships to launch. I turn on my coms and run through the bay. Someone is yelling at the guy to close the bay door. I keep moving. I take off my mask and shove it in my pocket for later. I put on my Elizabeth Jones disguise and continue to the top.
"They're initiating launch," Hill says.
"No shit!" I yell.
"Hey, Cap, how do we know the good guys from the bad guys?" I hear Sam on coms.
"If they're shooting at you, they're bad."
"Great logic, Steven," I add. "Good luck, you two!"
"Thanks!" they bellow.
"I found those bad guys you were talking about."
"You okay?"
"I'm not dead yet."
"Good, Sammy. Let's try to keep it that way!" I finally hear Nat taking down the bad guys in the Council.
"Satellites in range at 3,000 feet," Fury says, "Falcon, status?"
"Engaging! All right, Cap, I'm in! Oh, shit."
"Eight minutes, Cap," Hill updates.
"Working on it."
Natasha starts leaking SHIELD and HYDRA secrets on the internet. I gave her full access to exploit everything except for some of my files.
"Alpha lock!"
"Finally, Rogers!" I jokingly yell.
