53. Combined Study

Nila was sitting on her chair thinking while Sooraj was looking at his table and chair. The place where he used to sit and work, watch movies and series. His heart sank as he realized that it was no longer his.

Nila: Will your mom agree to it?

Sooraj: Of course she will. Me, Avinash, Marshall, Morgan and George have had many group studies at my home. She never had a problem with it. Ah, I forgot. She's has gone to a marriage function at her relatives. She'll be back only on Monday. It's okay I'll tell her as soon as she comes.

Nila thought hard.

Sooraj: If you are comfortable, we can have a group study there whenever you want. I'm not forcing you or anything. It's entirely your choice. Okay?

Nila: Okay I'll think about it.

Sooraj: Fine. We'll meet during break. Bye.

He went outside and her phone chimed suddenly.

Nila: It's Riya.

At the corridors

Nila: Hey Guys! Where are you going?

Riya: Where you've been all this while?

Nila: At the room. I was working out problems in Physics. What happened?

Alex: Didn't you hear the announcement? All students are requested to assemble at the seminar hall. There's gonna be a class on Reproductive health.

Nila: Urghhh...not again. You're calling me for another class? Come on!

Alex: You are a head student you stupid! You have to be present there even if we are not. Understood?

Nila: That's the hard part of it. We have to attend every seminar or programme no matter how boring it is (whines)

At the seminar hall...

Nila and others were seated at the back. It was freezing cold as they were seated next to the cooler.

Nila: Hey, I have to tell you something.

Riya: What?

Nila: Sooraj has asked me to go to his house for a group study.

Riya looked at her in excitement.

Riya: Really? You should definitely go!

Nila: Yeah but..

Riya: But what?

Nila: I'm going to a boys house for the first time. Will it be okay?

Riya: What are you saying? He's your boyfriend. Moreover he's a nice guy. You should go!!

Nila: I know but mom won't agree to it. She'll rip my face off.

Riya: Don't worry. Tell her that you're coming to my place. If she calls, put it on conference. Problem solved.

Nila: Okay but I'm getting nervous and goosebumps at the same time.

Riya: Just imagine. You both will be alone, studying together at his house. It will be so romantic!!

Nila (blushes): Yeah.

Riya: Have a good time but make sure that you both don't end up doing something else..(giggles)

She narrowed her eyes.
