73. Broken Hearts

At Riya's house

The calling bell rang and riya rushed towards the front door.

Riya: Coming!

She opened the door and swooned in to see Nila

Riya: O my gosh! What a surprise! When did you return. I'm so happy to see you..

Riya hugged her tightly while Nila stood motionless like a statue. She started breaking down.

Riya: How was your journey? Wait, why are you crying?

Nila could not hold her tears back anymore and she cried her heart aloud hugging Riya tightly.

Riya: What is this? Whats the matter?

Nila(shouts): Enough! Wish I was dead!!

Riya: What are you saying? Are you crazy? Wait, come inside first.

Riya made her sit on the couch and made her her favourite hot chocolate. After asking for a while, Nila told her  everything.

Riya: WHAT!! NO WAY!! THIS CAN'T HAPPEN!!!

Nila: I saw it with my own eyes Riya.

Riya: No..but, are you sure he was...

Nila: I wouldn't have believed even if a thousand people came in and said that he was cheating on me. But I saw it with my own eyes Riya.

Riya: Still, I can't believe. He's Sooraj and he's was way different than other boys. How many girls had he rejected during our college days? It's hard for me to believe that he did that.

Nila: Do you mean that I'm lying?

Riya: No...but, what if it's not true?

Nila: Do you know? Even my friends told that he is cheating on me. Still I didn't believe. His behaviour towards me was entirely different all these days. I should have guessed it earlier. My fault. Why God? Why? Why did you give me such a huge punishment?

Riya: Don't cry Nila.

Riya hugged her trying to comfort her. But she kept on crying.

Nila: Riya...

Riya: Hm..

Nila: Will you do me a favor?

Riya: Sure. What is it?

Nila: Book me a return flight to Canada as soon as possible.

In the meanwhile...

Sooraj was trying to contact Nila but she wasn't answering. After a while, she blocked his contact. He cried in again

Sooraj:No!!!! Dont do this!! Please Nila dont leave me!!

He buried his face on his arms and cried while Avinash tried to console him.

Avinash: Bro, don't worry. We'll explain everything to her. She'll understand.

Sooraj: It's too late, she saw her kissing me. I swear I'm gonna kill that bitch!! How dare she ruin my life!!!

Avinash: Calm down. We can find out a way.

Sooraj (cries): Seriously. If Nila and I are gonna break up, I swear I'll never look at a girl's face ever again. If I'm loving someone, that will only be her. She's the one who has my heart. God! Why did things turn out to be like this? I was so loyal to her but... now she thinks I'm a cheat! I can still hear her calling me that

Avinash: It's definitely not your fault. We'll fix this issue somehow. Trust me.

That night..

At the airport

Riya and Nila were at the airport waiting for the boarding call. Nila's face and eyes were looking red and swollen after a huge downpour.

Riya: Are you sure you wanna go ?

Nila: Yes.

Riya: Go safe. Call me when you reach.

Nila: I will. Thanks dear.

They shared a hug. Nila took out her luggage and proceeded to go.

Riya: Well, I suggest that you have a word with Sooraj. What if..

Nila glared at her and she stopped.

Nila: I'm done with betrayals. He's now a closed chapter in life. I shouldn't have loved him in the first place. All that he had done from the beginning was hurting me. When we fell in love, I thought he'll be different than others who value love. Now I understand. All men are the same.

Nila took out her luggage and moved forward.

Nila: This is over. Tell him to stay out of my life forever. Bye.

She went and Riya waved her goodbye.

A little while later, Sooraj and Avinash came running towards Riya.

Avinash: Riya! Where's Nila?

Riya: She went.

Sooraj (cries): NO! No this cannot be. You can't leave me and go..

Riya: What am I hearing Sooraj...did you?

He became emotional and shouted.

Sooraj: Shut up! You know absolutely nothing. I would never cheat on my Nila! Not even in my dreams! I was trapped!! Trapped by a cunning bitch!! I should have known earlier...

Sooraj told the entire matter and Riya cupped her mouth in shock.

Riya: Even I told her the same. But she was too heartbroken and wanted to go as soon as she could. So she told me to book a return ticket to Canada.

Avinash: Did she say something about him?

Riya: Well, she told you to stay out of her life forever. I'm sorry.

Sooraj looked out of the window and saw the airplane take off. Tears streamed down his face and he cried.

Sooraj: Please don't ever leave me Nila..
