Chapter 46. Pats.

As I slowly drifted above again I could feel an unfamiliar warmth around me. Actually it was pretty cold too. On right it was warm, but on the left ice cold. Was this just the bed? Or did the air turn icy?

I slowly moved towards the warmth, not wanting to wake up yet. Sure I knew I was waking up, but I don't like waking up.

As I moved closer to the warmth, it moved closer to me too. But so did the cold, I could hear it. It felt weird, as if the cold thing was a living, breathing animal.

Wait? The cold can breathe? No it can't. Oh shi-

I opened my eyes in a rush, looking at what was around me. A gigantic snake. I let out a yelp.

"Mhm.. whats wrong, Iruma?" I heard the warm thing I mean Asmodeus say. "S-snake." I managed to stutter out. He looked up at the snake. "Oh, he is probably just feeling lonely." He said to me. He then ordered the snake to get down. "He won't hurt you, don't worry." He said, still sounding sleepy.

I wasn't sleepy anymore though, I was wide awake now.

Asmodeus slowly woke up, I told him id go to the bathroom to take a bath and brush my teeth and stuff. He then got up, still tired and sleep ridden, but looking a lot better.

"If you want ill brush your hair for you once you've finished master Iruma." He said, smiling up to me. He was back to himself again. He gets weird when tired. Now hes happy, enthusiastic and overthinking everything. "Wait! I didn't mean it like that! It was just a question!" He then said, looking at me.

"Sure, you can brush my hair if you wana." I said to please him. And to make him stop overthinking everything. He smiled happily at me. "It would be an honor to do so, master!"

I smiled to myself as I waved him goodbye and walked to the bathroom. I then took a bath, and brushed my teeth. I almost brushed my hair because I usually do so after taking a bath, but I didn't so Asmodeus could do it for me.

I then opened the door and walked back to Asmodeus's room. He was probably changing if not also taking a bath. The mansion is huge and has many mansions. Plus last time I went to take a bath he also took one somewhere else.

I happily entered the door after I knocked. "Come in." He said as I was already opening the door. I should have waited, and laughed about it to myself. "Whats so funny?"   He asked curiously. "Nothing, nothing." I said, still laughing. "Its just something in my head thats funny. I don't know how to explain it."

He nodded at me, smiling. "So why are you smiling?" I asked, now also curious. "Because you're happy, and you make me happy too."

He smiled happily at me. "It would be an honor to do so, master!"

My heart jumped in my chest when he said that. My breath itched, and my chest felt empty. All around my head I felt warm, warmer than I usually felt. I was probably blushing.
