Olivia's pov

"It's finally happened. What are your emotions?" The reporter asks me

Everyone was still on the pitch, celebrating. They were all dancing and singing and just having the best time of their lives.

"I just can't stop crying! With something like this, we talk, and we talk, and we talk, and we've finally done it. It's about doing it on the pitch, and I'll tell you what, the kids are alright!" I joke

"You're telling me the kids are alright! As captain, this must be one of your proudest moments."

"It's the proudest moment of my life, until the day I have I kids I suppose. So, I'm gonna lap it up. I'm taking every piece of advice that I was given to just take every single second of it in because you're gonna wanna relive it over and over again and I'll be reliving that for a long time." I tell her

"You said this wasn't the end of the journey, this was simply the start. What could this moment do, not only for women's football, but for women's sport?"

"The legacy of this tournament is a change in society. It's everything that we've done, we've pulled people together, we've got people at games. We want them to come to WSL games, but the legacy of this team is winners and that's the start of a journey." I continue

"You've got 90,000 fans in this stadium and millions more at home. What's your message to them?"

"Sorry I'm screaming, but I love every single one of you! I'm so proud to be english! I'm trying so hard not to swear. But yeah, I love every single one of you, and thank you for coming on this first chapter with us." I finish

————————

"I can't even explain what it feels like!" I answer the interviewers question.

I was pulled over to do another interview.

"You scored tonight but—" she begins to say but someone runs behind me and grabs my waist. I look to see a smiling less. She then comes and puts her arm around my back, rubbing it. "Come on, Russo. In you come. Both russos, fantastic! The fact that you've done this together, what a special moment—"

She's interrupted again as Mary runs up and warps her arm around my shoulder screaming 'livvy'.

"It's honestly the best moment of my career. One of the best moments of my life. I'm absolutely on top of the world right now and I feel so honored to do it with these girls." I shout into the mic. It was so loud that you couldn't hear the person stood next to you.

Less then comes and stands next to me again as she had wandered off for a second. She motions for us to slide in the confetti.

"Alessia, how good was her goal tonight?" The woman asks less

"Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable. I don't think I've ever seen a goal as good as that. I'm so so proud of her. I didn't even see her goal go in but I think that goal just shows the class she's got. And she can do it on the front line and the biggest stage of all." Less says

"Go on girls. Go enjoy yourselves." The interviewer says

"Come on! It's come home!" I scream in the mic before running away.

I then see Mary, less, and Beth sliding in the confetti.

I run as fast as I can and once I reach the confetti, I slide into it.

I couldn't stop in time though and I slide right into less, me landing on top of her.

"Hi there European champion." She grins as I look down at her.

"Hi." I whisper against her lips. She lifts her head up to connect our lips.

"I still can't believe your goal. Who has the cheek to do that in the final of the euros?"

"Me apparently." I admit

We then feel another body slide into ours and a northern accent is heard.

"Get off each other, will you!" G exclaims and we laugh
