Chapter Sixty-Four: Je t'aime

The next morning —after she had gotten ready for the day— Y/N sat on the balcony to watch the sunrise. It made a wonderful picture with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

As she leaned against the railing, she felt two hands rest on her shoulders. She turned around to see Rodrick, looking as though he had just rolled out of bed.

"Good morning," she said to him, giving him a hug.

He wrapped his arms around her, his chin resting on the top of her head. "Good morning," he mumbled.

"You have to get ready," Y/N said as she pulled away. He sighed and made his way into the room. Y/N sat on the balcony, admiring the tower in the distance.

Once Rodrick was ready, they made their way down to the lobby where the rest of their class was waiting.

Rodrick led Y/N over to their friends. "Where are we going?" he asked Ben.

"A café," Ben replied. "Then we're going to the Catacombs."

"And for dinner, we're going to the Eiffel Tower," Lexi said.

"Yeah, but we have to sit together. As a class," Barry added.

"Do we have to?" Rodrick sighed. Barry nodded.

"Come along, everyone," said their teacher as she led them towards the exit. They followed her to the shuttle that was waiting for them in the parking lot.

When the shuttle started to move, Rodrick plugged his headphones into his phone and handed an earbud to Y/N. They listened to one of his many playlists and looked out the window at the sights they passed.

A few minutes later, the shuttle dropped them off at a little café down the street.

They all stepped inside and took their seats. Y/N, Rodrick, Lexi, Ben and Barry all sat at the same table.

They looked down at the menu. "Let's all get crêpes," said Lexi.
(If you don't like crêpes, you may replace it with a food you do like)

Everyone nodded and when a waiter came around to their table, they ordered their crêpes.

The crêpes were brought to their table shortly after they had ordered them. The food looked absolutely delicious.

Y/N and the others are their breakfast quickly. Then they all got on the shuttle.

"The Catacombs look so cool," Lexi said as she scrolled through some pictures on her phone.

"They look a bit creepy," said Ben, looking at Lexi's phone. "Look at all those skulls."

Lexi turned her phone around to show Y/N and Rodrick the pictures. "Isn't that cool?" she asked.

Y/N smiled and nodded.

Once they arrived at the Catacombs, they all hopped out of the shuttle. A tour guide was there waiting for them. He gave them all a wave.

"Bonjour," he said, giving them all a smile. "We are very happy to see you all today. Now, if you'll follow me." He led them into an underground tunnel.

The Catacombs were so cold. Y/N's arms coated in goosebumps and she shivered. She leaned in close to Rodrick which caused him to smile. He placed an arm around her and gently rubbed his hands along her to keep her warm.

The tour was very long considering there was so much history within everything they saw. By the time they had finished the tour and made it back to where they had started, it was a little past twelve.

They all got on the shuttle and drove to the restaurant they had gone to yesterday.

"I won't be tricked this time," Rodrick said as he, Y/N, Lexi, Ben and Barry all sat at a table. He looked down at the menu, making sure to ask Y/N to translate the French words he didn't know.
