Chapter Sixty-Seven: Last Day

Y/N and Rodrick awoke to the sound of a blaring alarm.

"What the hell is that?" Rodrick asked, getting up from the bed.

Y/N followed his movements. "Fire alarm," she told him.

Rodrick's eyes widened with fear. "What?!" he exclaimed.

Y/N took his hand and led him out of the room. They were lost in a sea of panicked hotel guests.

As they made their way down the stairs, Rodrick cupped his hands over Y/N's ears to block out the infernal alarm.

When they made it to the lobby, they joined the herd of their classmates. The teachers all did a head count and when they ensured everyone was present, they left the building.

Once outside, Rodrick removed his hands from Y/N's ears and let them fall by his side.

"What the fuck happened?" Rodrick asked.

"The fire alarm went off," Lexi replied from behind him and Y/N. They turned around.

"Yeah, well, I know that," Rodrick said, rolling his eyes. "But what happened? Did something catch on fire?"

"No," Lexi replied. "Someone pulled it."

"Who?" Y/N asked.

Lexi pointed at Ben and Barry who were pretending to be just as confused as everyone else.

"You're serious?" Y/N asked. Lexi nodded.

"You idiots," Rodrick said, shaking his head.

"It was Ben's idea," Barry accused.

Ben held up his hands defensively. "It was not!" he shouted.

"Dude, shut up," Lexi told him. "You're going to get caught."

"He's going to get caught anyway," said Rodrick. "They have cameras."

"Oh, shit," Ben whispered.

"Oh, shit is right," Lexi said. "You guys are going to be sent home."

"Not only that but I'm pretty sure you can get charged for that," Y/N said.

"You guys are so screwed," Rodrick chuckled.

"It's not funny," Ben said. "My parents are going to kill me."

"It was your idea," Barry told him.

"It was not!" Ben shouted. "Lexi, tell him. You were there."

"It was your idea," Lexi said to Ben.

He buried his face in his hands. "Oh shit," he mumbled.

"Maybe they won't check the cameras," Lexi said, trying her best to be comforting.

"Lexi, they are going to check the cameras," Ben sighed. "Oh, I'm so screwed."

"What was the reason for all of this?" Y/N asked, looking between Ben and Barry. "Why the hell would you pull the alarm?"

"It was our last day here," said Barry.

"We wanted it to be memorable," Ben added.

Y/N shook her head and let out an exasperated breath. "That's it. You guys are screwed," she said.

Rodrick looked at his friends and chuckled. "You guys are idiots."

"Don't act like you wouldn't have done it," Barry said.

"Maybe last year I would've done it," Rodrick mumbled with a shrug.

"I hate to say this, but Rodrick is the most mature out of you three," Lexi told them, pointing at Ben, Barry and Rodrick. "And he may be stupid but not stupid enough to pull the alarm."
